Sharks rule out safe haven if Carney and Roosters part ways

Actually I though we beat the Roosters the last few times he played us.

They did us when he wasn't playing wasn't it?

That said great player.

And at least he doesn't bash women.

I can't see any reason the NRL wouldn't allow him to play again, he didn't break any laws or bring the code into disrepute after his DD charge.

Was talking to another Sharks fan who reckons we load him up with as much booze as a human can take pre season. So much that he wakes up not wanting to drink again.

Then let him cut loose after a grand final win.
yeah we beat them twice last year with him playing and once this year with him playing .
They beat us this year when he was dropped.

alco's dont get hangovers.
They can just ignore it and get on with it...drinking more that is...all other other things go out the window though.

We are serious.

Gallen wants him, Flanno wants him.

The chairman however, is saying NO.

He may want to keep our captain happy, if the rumour is true of a certain person in deep talks about taking the Dogs top job.

The two major reasons why i want us to sign him.

(1) He is a bloody good halfback (you dont get player of the year awards for nothing)

(2) It would give so many people the sh!ts that we signed him. That alone would make it a great signing.

Chairman should want him. He would put bums on seats, something that is sadly lacking at the moment.

its a good charade this one..

I reckon. Personally, I cant see Ricky stepping down from NSW duties. Not after he stated he wants to end QLD's reign.
Good on him.

I would also gutted if I was Dymock and dint get the job. Maybe we could lure him back?

Still think Jim will be top dog.

He would no doubt, but there are pro's and con's.
The con's are the only thing being looked at, at the moment.

Pro, Paul Gallen wants him. Give him the team he needs!

i thought stuart was given the green light if a club opportunity arose, whilst still coaching NSW?

Just do it. Show the fans and sponsors we are serious about trying to compete.

It is done, dusted, signed, sealed and waiting to be delivered that Stickman is coaching the Dogs.

Has been for well before the finals.
His only sticking point is the Blues.

He reckons he can win it next year - no Locky helps - and wants to be the guy to end the QLD domination.
He wants it nutted out as it will be the first question asked when greenberg confirms his the coaching gig.

If he wants carney at the Dogs I'd say he'll get him.

We're like the bird at the pub who you only root when all the good sorts are snapped up. By then you've had a skinful so everyone's happy.

Good thing Carney likes a drink.

If media talk is to be believed, or even Greenburg in this instance, then he wants Ricky to step down from rep coach duties.

Probably delaying the inevitable a bit.
Would be filthy if I was Dymock!

As I said to you yonks ago when you were saying Sticky would get the job, the Job is JD's. The only thing that might get somebody else there is who they could bring to the club. But seeing they would have to offload to do that anyway, its null & void. They have very little room to move despite losing Idris, Ryan & Roberts. JD's succession has been in the making since he left the Sharks & he was supposed to take over from Folkes. It all happened too quickly with Folkes though.
