Shaun Johnson out for the season

He hasn't got back to that blinding form he was in in 2015 just before he was injured. Unfortunately I don't think he'll ever get that amazing pace back. Despite this, he was equal number 1 for try assists in 2017 before injury, and that was playing with a team that was on the back foot the majority of the time. The idea that he is somehow responsible for feeble defense around the ruck or unforced errors from tired forwards is ridiculous.

Lol I'll pay that.

Johnson is the scapegoat for the Warriors. But he's certainly not the problem. You could put an international spine in that mob and their forwards would still play as heartless disjointed chumps. Oh wait....

Johnson has been setting up tries and line breaks for fun. His defence is fairly solid. He tries maybe if anything too hard to inspire those around him.

Foran is supposedly an organiser. The performance of the pack hasn't improved with Foran so I don't think the issue is Johnsons organisation. I think that's been shown as a myth. He's working behind a bunch of pea hearts. And in a team that genuinely don't have footy brains.

The only blokes who they can rely on are Mannering and Johnson. Mostly RTS but he's not the same without the Roosters forwards. The rest can EAD.

I think without him the Warriors will struggle to win another game this year. But hey, what's new, and I'm sure that will be as is typically the case attributed to Shaun.

I reckon the Warriors are further away from a Premiership than the Knights. No exaggeration.

I've been harsh on Johnson in the past but it's pretty obvious that he isn't the problem. I reckon he'd be as influential as Cronk if he was at the Storm.

It's the coaching, the culture, and overhyped lazy youngsters who aren't willing to spill their guts on the training ground to transition from U20s athletes who steamrolled kids to NRL standard tough first graders.

Agree on the above. Twice last week Luke was lazy. Once he casually walks off rather than dash to marker and on the inside line he'd have covered they open them up. Then on Clearys last try, Luke comes out of the line and leaves a prop one on one with him with a gaping hole there. Granted it was an awful attempt from Lisone but Luke had a horror game defensively.

They're not prepared to grind.

I was thinking about this today. In 2011 the Warriors made all theee grades Grand Finals. How bad do you have to go with that production line through the grades whereby every year since including this one which is inevitable, the Warriors haven't made the finals. Forget Johnson, he's not the problem. As above, like Mannering, I think he's a victim. He's tried hard throughout that period. I'd rather see those blokes be rewarded in champion cultures and seen for the good players they are rather than be savaged as scapegoats.

Yeah and on Clearys 2nd try the marker did chase Katoa out of hooker but then Katoa passed to RCG and the marker doing the chasing just stopped dead, RCG threw the inside ball and Edwards goes straight through a gap within an arms reach of the marker who had chased our hooker. I think it was Gavet who seemed to be one of the few warriors players having a real dig but a lack effort around the ruck like that will always get found out, especially if it is a common thing for that side. Penrith has had similar issues at times this year.

'As influential as Cronk' . . . move over Albert
