School Ties, I watched it because Matt Damon was in it, really thin plot, stupid ending.

We Own the Night Just an all round boring and shit movie, that wasn't the least bit believable.

Max PayneWatched it because of the games, storyline wasn't developed, CGI was average

The Lovely Bones Watched i because I love the book, Jackson f**ked up the story with all the CGI bullshit and it became quite obvious the point of the novel was lost on him. Apart from Rachael Weizc and Susan Sarandon, the casting was wrong for the story

Basketball Diaries Just a f**ked up movie tbh.

Inception.

An unimaginative, cliched and sterile film. Not only was it two and a half hours of depressing hell, it filled me with utter contempt for any members of the audience that bought into this nonsense. I am convinced this is not a real film, rather it was a social experiment aimed at the unwashed masses who pollute social media sites.

Whilst it parades itself as a surreal and intelligent film, in actuality it is the very antithesis of such. Nolan succeeds in hiding a film with zero auteurist merit behind an oblique mask. How? By placating to their ego. They wish to feel intelligent, thus are willing to buy into that illusion. He is nothing more than a con artist.

Crash - I think it won best picture oscar but it was terrible. Was like some after school special made for idiots.

This x 1000, what an ordeal sitting through that shit was.

I am not a fan of the Lord of the Rings trilogy. As films goes they're wonderfully shot, the scenery is spectacular, but the story just bored me senseless. See also Brokeback Mountain (but at least I got to see Anne Hathaway's gorgeous titties :D)

Three Dollars its not a bad story but the way the film is edited together it is constantly jumping back and forth along the timeline so you never know what the farks going on you see a guy get sacked from his job...then he's a kid meeting his childhood friend...his first day at work.....living on the streets....gets divorced.....gets married etc etc etc its like watching 27 episodes of quantum leap on fast forward

Its a fun movie to watch but its nowhere near as brilliant as its made out to be. Highly overrated.

the greatest sin pulp fiction has to answer for is the multiple storylines all intersecting into each other which (like every other new idea in hollywood) has been copied to death

It was an original at the time and the movie does not belong in this thread.

I dont like Comic book / super hero movies etc but I thought Kick Ass was awsome.

THe worst movie I think I ever saw was that Paris Hilton Horror movie (house of wax or something.. )

I love movies that draw you in and make you think. The slap in the face when you think you know whats going to happen and the twist kicks in is great. But other times when your lazy and want a cheap thrill, stupid movies are great. I think it depends on your mood amongst other things.

For example I remember seeing some awful movie with Ben Stiller when I was about 15.
Being arse raped by rusty machette dipped in acid would of been a more enjoyable experience.
But the fact I had my hands in the pants of one of the most gorgeous girls in school ( Batting WAY above my average on this one) I enjoyed the movie more than any other  Sigh So long ago. Shouldn't of let that one go! I herd shes fat now so I guess its not all bad.

One thing that annoys me is its very rare to get movies these days with fantastic story lines that leave you thinking" the man that wrote that is a f**king genius." There is no substance no emotion to characters in modern film. ( There are a few exceptions)

Any movie that can make this cold hearted bastard cry attract my praise. Only ever been a few.
