Shockingly bad movies you watched because they won awards etc

I guess my expectations on Kings Speech was just too high...

IMO, a best film should be one that makes you smile, cry, evokes anger, happiness, makes you think, makes you appreciate the creativeness of the film…. something like Toy Story 3 I thought was very good… que the Toy Story haters…

the social network i thought was pretty good - although it didnt win any awards and I had a pretty low expectation of the film when going to watch it...

if its awarded the best film, then everyone has the right to expect something pretty special......

I didn't mind The Kings Speech, but I do understand where Aragorn is coming from.

The movie could have also been called - 'Really Boring Guy Has A Speech Impediment......but he is royalty so you'll give a toss'.

The drama was entirely the juxtaposition of someone with such important duties...who couldn't even speak properly.

Nothing against Colin Firth, but he was portraying someone who was raised to have absolutely no distinguishing personalit traits whatsoever.

Compared to dramatic movies like There will be Blood and No Country For Old Men, The Kings Speech was saccarhin crap.
