Should Mary be sacked?

I don't think there's any chance of the club sacking Mary atm.They seem to be more than happy just to tread water for some reason.The Gordon thing may possibly turn out to be pie in the sky unfortunately with his main focus being on bigger more important things at the moment instead of buying into a rabble of a club.Doust & the board will most likely sit on their hands with all the toing & froing going on re coaches & players with the most likely scenario being Mary seeing out his contract, getting an extension or the club appointing another L plate coach after all the others are off the market.

I fear you could be right!

I think Saints have the team to be competitive and Mary has the coaching staff but is not utilising it properly. Still can't understand the Demitriou appointment?

The way I see it is that Mary won't be sacked, Steve Price was far worse (nowhere near making finals footy-with the majority of Bennetts GF squad) and it took 2 and a half years. Take last week away and I was quite happy with what Mary has achieved, a finals appearance in his first year and 4-4 with the toughest draw.
Last week was very bad but I hope it's just a blip and that he can get the team heading in the right direction again. Waiting for him to fail and get sacked, it simply won't happen any time soon if you look at recent history.

While we have totally opposite views on Mary, i do admire how you have stuck solid with your position. It's easy to chop and change week in and week out depending on results and while i can see a small degree of frustration creeping into your current perspective, you have not tried to back flip on your initial views..........good on you mate, it's always refreshing to see someone with conviction.

All good Dragons 09, I was as frustrated as any after last weeks loss but have settled down a little now
Believe me I'm not a huge Mary supporter, just acknowledging he has done pretty good last year and I don't think he's as big a rabble as some others think as well, he needs to work on a few areas especially the attack. We are a long way of being a genuine contender......but wait for it, anything can happen.;-)
In truth I can understand the frustrations this year as there were some high hopes of having a really good year this year amongst many supporters myself included.

No need for mixed feelings. Great leadership (I'd settle for competent and professional) would never hire the calibre of Mary as head coach.

The head coach should be the best coach, not reliant on his assistants to pull the club out of the mire. As their title suggests, assistants are there to assist.

Probably the same 20 who voted for Price last time round. For some people it takes a little more time to accept the obvious. At least they have the guts to cast their vote - takes courage when your in the minority.

i looked at the poll results earlier in the week and it was something like 90% sack and 10% keep.
now the keepers are up to 16% - what has happened that an extra 6% of people think we need to keep him? did he get his friends and family to vote?
