The posters on this forum criticising Price for dropping Soward,do any of you know the reasons for him being dropped.Is it because he missed that penalty shot,or has been down on form or is because he has the sh*ts with the club and has been sulking therefore disrupting team spirit.
None of us know,so the flavour of the month is to give it to the coach without knowing the reason for Soward being dropped.Could this be the straw that broke the camels back,and the big reason the teams form has been down for the last few weeks.
The spirit the team showed earlier in the season is not there now suggesting there has been a problem in the squad,Sowards attitude ,as a senior player,may be a big part of it.

There are some with blind loyalty. I suppose someone on here has to have Price's back.

As I understand it, Jenninga's point is that nobody on here really knows the reasons for Price's decision to drop Soward. I just wonder if Price himself knows the real reason he dropped Soward. I suspect it has very little to do with one of his main duties as a head coach; to pick the best possible players to play in our first grade team each week. It may have more to do with Price's poor man management skills and his failure to recognise that he has been devising the wrong game plan for Soward ever since he became head coach.

Price really does not have a clue. He should resign.

Supposedly he has not been following instructions. If you have a key playmaker and supposed organiser not following the coach's instructions, what choice does the coach have? To cajole and cuddle the player, and man-manage him in a special tender way? To what end? You're not getting superstar form out of him anyway (he still won't run the ball, as everyone will tell you its not in his game), and he's leaving for good in a few months. Price has decided to cut his losses. His choice of replacement I don't necessarily agree with, but the decision itself makes some sense

Soward was actually pretty solid last game I thought. If performance was the actual problem, surely he would have been dropped in the weeks prior, not after that game. He's been far from our worst player. No one is playing well, but if you want to pick someone for taking terrible options, Rein is your man. He single handedly delivered the bulldogs almost all of their points, whilst taking away ours.

I'm not sure what orders players are or aren't following, but this is far from a halves issue. Everyone looks clueless and one-dimensional. They're poorly drilled, or every single player is not following the gameplan, including our captain... My bet is that the coach is clueless.

Jamie Soward hasn't been very effective for us this year. But it's not entirely his fault.

Jamie has the skills (kicking, passing, etc) and has speed. At one time, he loved the club and played with passion. The failure to take advantage of his strengths is, in my opinion, very damning for Mr Price as a coach.

Also, playing people out of position is bad. Next thing you know, Dugan will be starting off the bench as a utility player and Matty prior will move to fullback.

I'm not a Price hater yet, (and I dislike the personal insults that some people direct at him) but think I may have voted in this poll a little too early. Can we run it again after the Nights match?

I suspect it won't be pretty.
