I think T Sims would make a good Captain if he is fit and over his injuries. He is a good leader and speaks well.

Sims can be erratic, give away dumb penalties, and last year was lucky to be in first grade. Maybe due to injury.

As to speaking well, I don't see an issue with Cam, and T Sims is no scholar. As long as they exhibit ;leadership skills, can play long minutes and be a role model on and off the field, then thats fine by me.

Im very confident Cam will be our Captain.

Agree, u don’t need to be the best public speaker in the team to be Captain.

McInnes will be captain, I dont think there's any doubt about that.

Back to Friz, he wants to remain a Dragon, the captaincy is not a consideration for him, what I believe is the style of football we will play moving forward, game plans and how he will he utilised. This was echoed in some way by Lomax and to a lesser extent by Sailor.
The question is what has/will change to make them think this way?

Sims played with a serious injury last season which significantly influenced his form on the field. In season 2018 he was selected for SOO and was one our best forwards all sesaon.

McInnes seemed to send the ball the wrong way many times last year. No one doubts his tanacity in defence however, on several occasions last season - without De Belin on the field - our middle defence looked very brittle. My point is that it is not enough for a captain to just defend well and be the one quickest in the defensive line, a Captain should not just lead by example, he must bring the rest of his team with him.
