Let's hope ET gets in and teaches the young guys how to tackle. Simmonds isn't afraid to have a go, it was his technique that failed him last night. He will not be another Youngquest because Anderson is not here to crucufy him. A lot of work needs to be done on the backs defence as it is definitely not up to scratch.

Merritt played ok tonight I think its time for him to be placed back into First grade, Simmo has to go!!!!!!!! and if Reick is out Salah played well tonight also.

Merrit gifted the Dragons Premier League side 2 tries. He has absolutely no confidence under the high ball. I thought Merrit was ordinary.

Saleh was probably the best in PL in my opinion.

saleh hasn't really put a foot wrong since he came here. definitely deserves another shot at nrl. and the team deserves a winger that can tackle

Alright Simmonds was off the boil the other night, but fellas if Saleh is the saviour then we ARE well and truly farked !

Also we need a 5/8th desperately, Rapes should be out their now checking out who's available. We've struggled ever since Johnsy retired.

We need someone to take pressure of Noddy, he is the only point of our attack, and unfortunately Vagana is 400k down the drain at present unless he can get some clean ball and some open spaces.

Bails has to go out of the centres, and Franze needs another chance with Vagana to form a potent combination like Gasnier and Cooper.

To be honest I don't think we were that bad on Saturday night and probably would have beaten most other sides except Roosters, Penrith and Doggies etc

Heads up, if we can get on a roll again, anything is possible!

The 5/8 position I think is one that needs a new player definitely. Hilder is a good player, he should be lock, his proper position. Who goes to 5/8, I hav no idea! Seers? Sullivan?

NOTE : Directly after I suggest Seers or Sullivan and I still voiced my opinion on Hilder  . I dont think ANYONE has a real idea apart from the people in decision making roles, are u? I dont think you have as much knowledge as professionals no matter how much u may think u do

I will deadset neck myself if Seers comes anywhere near the 5/8th position in Premier League, let alone First Grade.

I'm going to back the kid Garbo.

Yeah, he had a nightmare on the weekend, and not his first either this year. Remember I told you how bad he went at Leichardt in premier league earlier in the year ? yet two weeks later was playing first grade and played very well.

I think it's experience, that's all.

He won't be helped by being shunted to first grade, and let's face it, the damage was done in the first half right up our guts on the weekend, not down Simmos side.We were 18-0 down straight thru the guts.

I back him to turn it around.

Oh I have no doubts that Simmo will eventually cement a spot in the top grade. He'll come back better than ever for the experience, but I think its time for him to have a bit of time back in reserves to sort himself out.

No way in the world I'd drop him. If there are any TOP GUN fans in this forum you may remember a quote from Viper just after Goose dies.

A guy says to him, "I don't think he can get back in the saddle."

Viper says, "Keep sending him up."

That's what we have gotta do with this side. Keep sending them back out there until we get it right. 100% right. We are getting something new right every week, when it all comes together we will be hard to beat.

The Dragons were right on song this week and would have thrashed just about anyone.

Making big changes including moving Simmo won't help us achieve any long term goals. The quick fix isn't the way to go. Everyone here is saying that Simmo WILL be good. Cool, let's see that happen in first grade.

Added to that is the fact that we have already lost Matt Rieck through injury (how long is he out?). Thats a forced change, no need to make another IMO.

I agree with that. He's had a couple of shockers, no doubt about it, but unless he's suddenly down on confidence (and I saw no evidence of that), the first grade experience will bring him on a lot faster.

PL can only do so much for a player - if they're getting unsure of themselves it helps to get the confidence up but there's still the step change in quality.

If he was some neville who was going nowhere I'd drop him. But I think we all agree he's going to be a good player, just needs more FG experience to sort him out. He'll come good.

Keep Simmonds , think how good he is now and what he could be in the future?
And we all knew about Vagna's defence, so lets get over it. We were beaten by a side that out performed us in every way. Raper has to look at this game as a pivotal experience . One were we build up to the next level. We need a new full back. Bigger and faster centers ( Vagana goes to 5/8) Bigger wingers ( ala Simmonds) . And we will need props sooner than latter. Time to start bringing on the younger guys and looking for new players to bring in.

I hope Noddy can exploit the Simmons height factor on the weekend. Farq he can jump high. We need to work on peppering the opposition wing (like they do to us) for Simmo and Merritt.

Geez McSharkie next you'll want Bird straight into 5/8 when he comes back from his holiday, changes need to be made and if you didn't see the mistakes Simmonds made last week I can only say you must have been at the bar an awful lot of times

I cant wait till Bird is back. He was on the verge of something big until that suspension.

His defence was great too. But so it Hilders.
