The driving urgency of the guitars, Ringo's bap bap bap bap bap bap leading into the chorus and the sheer desperation in Lennon's voice are what made that song great. It's untouchable.

Farnham's an over-emoting swine. Sure he can sing, but in a world filled with so much incredible music written, recorded and performed by artists who don't feel the need to butcher the classics, who really wants to listen to him do it?
