If Parramatta was offered a straight swap of Mateo for SBW along with the swap of salaries they'd take it in a heartbeat.

Mateo rejected a $380 000 offer from Manly last year to stay at Parramatta for about $50 000 less apparently.
It wouldnt suprize me is Sonny was on $450 000 a year.

I actually beleive Mateo is a better prospect, if he had should charges everyone will agree.

You take superstars when you can get them. You do whatever you can within the rules of the cap to get them - its that simple. Superstars win championships. You can build a team around them.
