I believe it is Harry Siejka. Was seen as an up and coming star at Penrith a few years back.

I think the source of the rumour is literally Jubilee Avenue lol, but if Williams has fallen through maybe hes next in line, but who the f*** is he lol.. hes played for Penrith & Warriors, he is in the Auckland NSW Cup side atm at Halfback.. was Under 20's Origin Half in 2012.. but ive never heard of hims.. why hasnt he kicked on? Granted Johnson is in front of him at the Warriors.

We don't need him. We have Drinkwater and two good NYC prospects in Hastings and Crook. We need a top line first grade half.

Drinkwater. He has to learn to tackle first. I don't know why his name gets mentioned. He's a turnstile.

Harry is from Bathurst my old home town. He played halfback last year in the under 20's soo. My son use to play with him in juniors. I know his dad and he is a tough bugger.

He's better then drinkwater from all accounts.

He was one of the better halves from last years NYC, I believe he played halfback for NSW Under 20's? Been stuck behind Johnson and Luliuei at NZ and now with Townsend coming, he doesn't see himself getting a chance. I get where you're coming from - not exactly a huge name - but geez, people were all excited about bringing Cornish and Keary over without seeing how they went in first grade! He played NRL for Penrith in 2011 (I think) and did ok, got 3 try assists in one game. His problem (as with many young halves) is that he is now moving around looking for an opening, rather than staying put and biding his time.

Then why did Price sign Drinkwater?

Drinkwater was signed to develop him as a future 7. From what I've heard, he isn't developing as much as necessary, particularly in defense. Needs to work on that before he can expect to get a start.

Crap anyone who has coached the game will tell you having good cattle creates a good coach. Price simply does not have the cattle also the club is struggling in the depth department as well. lets see how he goes after 12 games next year then be the judge, If he does not perform the club has Tim Sheens on stand by.

I think this is a ridiculous statement. It is an insult to the profession of being an NRL coach, and does Steve Price no favours. I think even he would be insulted by it.

If a coach goes into the role not believing he they can make a difference to the skill-set, belief and attitude of his men, and build them into a better team, but instead - simply hopes he gets dealt a winning hand - then he has chosen the wrong job.

Does that mean that we're not getting another half before the end of the month?

Lol that twitter account is a joke. What he doesn't just make up is either reposted news or rumours from this forum.

Soward hasn't trained with or even been among the first grade for over a week

All coaches look at improving their roster. Most recent example is Stuart at Parra but it's no different to coaches like Bennett, Flanagan, Cartwright all actively recruiting. The only ones who don't are the ones that don't need to.

Soward's Super League switch denied as Dragons refuse to rule out return
June 14, 2013

St George Illawarra officials are set to block a bid by out of favour five-eighth Jamie Soward to play out the season in England and have not ruled out the possibility of him wearing the Red V again.

Dragons chief executive Peter Doust is understood to have met Soward on Thursday and, while he has not been officially refused a release, the former NSW No.6 is resigned to staying put.

Fairfax Media was told Soward stormed out of training at WIN Stadium after being informed he had been dropped for last weekend's match against Newcastle but he turned up for training with Illawarra Cutters and has impressed the coaching staff of the NSW Cup team. Initially the Dragons were thought to have been prepared to release Soward to Penrith, with whom he recently signed a lucrative four-year deal, but the Panthers cannot accommodate him this season due to the club's second-tier salary cap issues.

If Soward was to join Penrith now, the club would have to demote the lowest-paid member of their top 25 NRL squad, but they have already exceeded the $375,000 limit for the second-tier salary cap and were last weekend unable to play Matt Moylan.

Soward's agent Sam Ayoub has since had offers from Super League clubs - believed to include Salford - for the former NSW Origin five-eighth to join them for the rest of the season.

However, St George Illawarra coach Steve Price has never said publicly Soward was unwanted and teammates are backing him to return to the top grade soon.

Senior players told Fairfax Media the demotion to the Cutters was unlikely to end Soward's career at the Dragons and, on Thursday, skipper Ben Creagh predicted he would bounce back.

It is understood there was no single reason for Soward being dropped but, after one win in six, Price and the coaching staff felt something needed to change.

Soward had been struggling for form and, as he is leaving at the end of the season, they also had one eye on the future - although Chase Stanley and Nathan Fien won't be the scrum-base pairing next year.

After signing Melbourne five-eighth Gareth Widdop, the Dragons are looking for a halfback and have been linked to Canberra's Sam Williams.

Raiders officials said they were unsure of Williams' plans but with Terry Campese, Josh McCrone, Anthony Milford and Mitch Cornish under contract, he is almost certain to leave.

Soward will play for the Cutters again this weekend, but Creagh tipped him to return to the NRL soon.

''He is a professional, he is a first-grade player and I am sure he will bounce back,'' Creagh said. ''He is pretty upset, as you would be.''

That's true.

That's part of team building. But the mainstay of every coaching gig is to have the sort of influence on individuals that sees them become better footballers, whether it is 'man management', or develop further their skills, or reading a game, or discipline etc; and through that, the team improves.
