his neck was pretty f**ked for that game, he definitely was not healthy. he let in heaps of tries but we’ve seen in origin and countless other games he can fix up his defence and steer a team very well when he’s up to it and not injured.

I'd put it down to Queensland reading the papers. They were abysmal.

Tend to agree with this. He was ridiculously poor the first 10 rounds. Maybe that was a by product of being pushed out the door?

Or maybe he wasn't as bad as some want him to be. Stats wise he matched up well against most halves.. Despite the whole side playing horrible.

Even look last night. I don't think we win without him but of the 6 tries he only had a hand in 2 of them. Wade Graham matched that as did Teddy. Which is what we lack at club level. No one aside from halves create anyting

Stats only say so much. His defensive efforts & reads were horrendous, & put a stack of pressure on his outside men.
