Morris gone next season if the Dogs agree to the terms the Dragons want to release him early.
I have my man checking what those terms are.
FACT.

One would imagine some form of payout like $300,000-$500,000

Much like the Dogs did with Broncos. If Morris wants out it's not so much the Dogs have to do what Dragons want it's more like the Dragons get as much as they can out of it as keeping him won't benefit them when he walks in 2016 and doesn't have his head/heart in it for 2015.

The Dragons sound like they need some help with the $$$ to so would make sense.

So the Dogs have room in the cap for Foran and Morris? Wow. And Saints can only afford Benji, Widdop and Dugan on big contracts? Nothing suss there it seems. NOT

250k between Morris, Night and Creagh. I think Nighty and BMoz would deserve half of the 250k. Creagh is not chased by other clubs and I don't think he ever will. If so not for the cash that BMoz and Nighty can demand on the open market. Creagh would probably attract offers of 500k at best. Give Night and BMoz 100 or 125k each out of the concessions. Too easy.

Does it make you think that maybe everything that is reported by two bit hacks is NOT the truth?

I just cannot understand this. Our board has a lot to answer for. Surely getting rid of the dead wood players is the answer. Letting Brett Morris go is stupid. If this happens, I personally will be pretty disappointed.

So if they are offering 150k more than Saints should have that covered under the Concessions for long players. Saints can offer BMoz 600k and 150k will be excluded from the cap and therefore only 450k will be part of the cap. Am I missing something here or what? Surely they can find a sponsor to cover this. Brett is probably their most marketable player.

Bulldogs investigated? Yeah right. What a load of rubbish that is.

Didn't the Dogs offer Fifita big dollars and then when he went to sign the amount was much less? THen the NRL was going to investigate that as well? What about the Barba chaos on how they covered everything up? Nothing came out of those "Ïnvestigations".

From what I understand Fifita's four year contract was tiered up each year with its base total being a lot less than what was agreed upon in the MOU, whether or not they guaranteed the difference in third-party agreements (which isn't allowed) is unknown.

Ultimately they had grounds to tear up his contract after this:

They way Barba was handled by the Bulldogs and the NRL was shady to say the least.

The MOU had the amount of $800k or $850k or whatever it was to be split between payments under the salary cap and 3rd party agreements. When he was given the contract, he didn't like the split and didn't want to go through with the deal which is why he made those comments as he had already gone public saying he would be at the Bulldogs. If he had kept quiet originally it would have been one of those rumoured deals that just never happened in the eyes of the public

Its a delicate balance. Players hints he wants out (But doesn't really), club play's hard ball and pretends they don't care (But they really do), player then thinks "Oh, they don't really care, might as well go." Big communication breakdown.

In saying that, if he is so desperate to leave and prove a point, let him go. We should milk the dogs for all the cash we can.

P.S. He is not a specialist fullback. He'll be doing a lot more running from fullback, which will tire him out. Also not a natural passer. Personally, later in his career, I'd think he go okay at left centre (Did ET do this?). Gee, we could really do with a left centre right now!

If that is a fact then a good way to get them on side to make the agreement is to report them to the NRL for tapping up their player? Makes sense.
