I do not hate Italy (I've been there), I do not hate Italian people, I do not hate Italian food. I simply hate 1 thing about Italy - Australian people with an Italian background who barrack for Italy (even if it's against Australia, the country that they were born and raised in). Face it, if these people have relatives in Italy, those relatives would consider them Australian, not Italian.
 fascist much??

Can I ask you this BF, are you Spanish?
No. But as I've stated many times, I am going for Australia more than I am going for Spain in this world cup (and every other WC there after). My Sig/Avatar is there for 1 reason - because I believe that Spain will go further than Australia and I cbf changing over and over in this WC.
only f**kwits act like that BF. I've stood up for you on this forum numerous occasions, after this sh*t, I don't know why. Childish stuff mate.

Dude, I know that you go for Italy. You even went for them in Euro 08 - perhaps you have Italian blood in you, I'm not sure, but, I'm sure that you would go for Australia BEFORE Italy, and that is good.

I do see his point - it was a bit hard to stomach seeing blokes with whiter skin than me, that have one grandparent from Italy, who couldn't speak a word of Italian celebrating in Norton St when Italy beat the country they've lived in their entire life.

The plastics come out in force every four years, which is why anyone worth their salt would avoid Norton St like the plague during WC time.

So lemme ask this. What if someone prides themself on their heritage? The Italians are proud. What if they feel more Italian then Australian? What if they hate Australia? It might not matter to them where they were born.

BF, you're nothing better. You're supporting Spain because they'll go good, yes? The fact you're going for another country in general for no other specific reason says enough. The fact remains, like 30 other nations, they are Australia's opponent.

They hate Australia, the country they were born in, raised in and have lived in their entire lives? I find that very hard to believe, but I will say this... send them to Italy to live. I guarantee you after 6 months when the party life-style is over and they have to work for a living over there, they'll be begging to come back "home". Some people are so ungrateful.

As for me supporting Spain, no, I am not a bang-wagoner and I am not supporting them just because I think they will do well. I have said many times, I will support Australia OVER Spain if they play each other. No problems with Italians supporting Italy, but them supporting Italy over Australia is... sort of like a betrayal? Put it this way, if Australia and Italy went to war, who would you side with? Hell I'd side with Australia if it was against Spain!

I thought he was Spanish.
No I am not.

FFS, it's just sport, if they cheered for Italy ahead of Australia doesn't mean they hate anything.

You're also generalising - not everyone cheering for Italy cheered for them ahead of Australia, and even if they did, its a free country, they can do what they like. You make it sound like they should be locked up for cheering for Australia ahead of Italy - what about all the people that can't stand the game, and wouldn't watch it if it was the last thing on TV, are they ungrateful too?

You know, the World Cup has been around for a long time without Australia in it, so most people support or follow the country of their heritage.

You're probably one of those idiots that abuses people everytime they're wearing an Italian jersey post 2006. Give it a rest, you're embarrassing yourself.

Why do you support Spain?

Yeah put me in the group that enjoys watching France lose, they have been absolutely terrible so far, even Ribery has done nothing.

I was again very impressed by the Mexicans, they have some very good young talent upfront with pace to burn, they made the French look old and pedestrian.

I was born in Argentina but raised in Australia, I support Argentina first and Australia second, does that mean I should be deported?

So BF, why are you supporting Spain so keenly?

My heritage wont be in the World Cup for awhile so I really have nothing to worry about lol.
