 They probably just flog them another car.

I'm up near Carlingford but willing to travel to get it done. From what I've seen, more are mobile and come to you.

-------------------------------------

Urgh, I have to open the factory tomorrow morning for the truck driver exchange to Victoria. The driver scares the f*ck out of me. Looks like a chubby version of Ivan Millat.

That sounds like a lot of the interstate truckies.

Yeah there are plenty of places where they will come out and fix the wheels for you. Best to just shop around.

TBH, I miss those days. They were my phase growing-up so to me it's fond memories. I watched a tape as I was ripping to the hard-drive today and it was of me and my cousin playing around with VHS tapes, old toys that never existed and behind us was a massive rear projection TV.

----

Off topic, does anybody know a reputable repairer of alloy wheels? My brother scratched mine up big time on his L's and he's offering to fix them, might as well get it done. Want to find a reasonable price though.

I don't know if alloys are reparable. Obviously if you damage them enough they can become unbalanced, but aside from filing and polishing/adding lead weights to fix the balance, I don't know what can really be done. What sort of car is it? Are they factory alloys, or stupidly expensive after-market ones?

Yeah, interstate. We have two larger trucks that do an exchange every Wednesday. Truck A leaves Dispatch fully loaded from our factory in NSW, Truck B leaves from our Victoria Branch. They meet at a central point, swap keys and keep driving.

That way, a driver is not spending time interstate (Extra time with family, less stress on them to). Truck A then makes it trip down to Vic fully loaded, Truck B is returned empty ready to load for the next exchange with the same starting drivers. The guy isn't a bad bloke. Just looks very scary and intimidating.

From what I read, if it's just scratches and surface damage it can be repaired? I've known of 1-2 people who've done it as well, but they used a DIY kit. It's a Honda Accord V6. Stock standard Alloys that came with the car.

Get with the times Tim.

I've had Foxtel Go on my IPhone for ages now.

Comes in handy when I'm away from home and the footy is on.

It's better quality then the games on Channel 9 aswell

I'm guessing you do lot's of long-distance driving and time away from home now?

Nope. Local driver now.

At my last job I was doing a shitload of country runs where I wouldn't be home much.

Tamworth, Dubbo, Jindabyne, Bathurst, Orange, Far south coast.

These days I'm doing less hours and earning about the same.

Tarcutta Changeovers were the best when I used to do them.

Also watching The Bible mini series.

Helps that I have no idea about what is supposed to happen in it.
Spoiler

He dies

Anyway, I didnt have a TV from age 6-9 or so. Spent alot of time in the backyard running around with footy/cricket bat and ball. Probably set in some good exercise habits that have lasted the rest of my life. Had a gameboy but that was it, and a computer eventually (got a PS2 in 2007 for about 80 bucks, havent played it since the controller broke in 09).

It was good, not sure why a kid would need a tablet (or a mobile really) even these days before about high school age. Sure a computer in the house but before high school that shit aint all that necessary.

I also think gaming is pretty boring, would rather run outside/play sport/do other activites.

I do spend way too much time on the computer these days though.
