Anyone hearing any strong rumours for the second announcement? Already bought my ticket this morning and love the line up so far. Just looking for that icing on the cake.

Based on this source, AJ said he was hoping he could get Offspring for SW 2013:

However there’s bad news for anyone hoping that the rumours about Offspring were true as AJ says that he was “hoping to have [Offspring] on the 1st announcement, but they now have to mix album in Jan/Feb so hopefully SW13”.

As for Billy Talent, I saw them at SW 2009. They were good.

The 2nd announcement isn't until December. At the Reading festival Noodles said the album is pretty much done. Just needed finishing touches they aren't touring according to their website so who knows. They may get that knocked over in the next month or so and play.

Of course no one would be happier to see the Offspring than me. Smash was one of my all time favourite albums as a teenager :D

And FL is far from being right most of the time. Most of their speculation threads are laughable (e.g. BDOSpy and the Radiohead headline prediction). Also, I don't think you can believe everything AJ says about the proposed lineup. This guy initially ruled out Iron Maiden for the 2011 SW.

Same here Bad habit 1 of best songs of all time. Smash got hammered back in the day. The festival needs more punk/emo just for balance.

I am hearing all punk next announcement. 1 is a headliner. It can't be Blink the shows are too close together without plane travel add the 7weeks to get here on a boat. No chance Should be interesting to see who they get none the less

Man AJ carries on like a petulant child on twitter when dealing with bands. The stuff he's writing about Hole (rightly or wrongly) will certainly rub some international acts up the wrong way. Did the same thing with Bad Religion... Does an amazing job getting great bands over here, but if he continues to carry on like that his pulling power in years to come won't be all that great.

Disappointed that the draft schedule apparently has SOAD and Machine Head potentially clashing, will be shattered if that happens. Put Machine Head on at the same time as Slipknot please.
