you're comparing a merged club with arguably the biggest fan base in the city, to a club with arguably the lowest.

The Tigers are known offically as Wests which could be West anything but it doesnt pose an issue does it? Using Easts for the Roosters would be no different no matter what their fan base numbers are.

You are onto something there, but consider that the same type of people that enjoy these shows are also the same type of people that thought big brother etc were the greatest shows ever to be aired on TV and you need to ask yourself one serious question - are these the type of idiots we want to attract to ruby league?, a bunch of "oh mig god cindy did you see that guy, he is soooooooo gross!" sh*theads?
They'd go to maybe 2 games and revert back to their usual weekend habits, drinking sh*tty cask wine / alcopops and talking about sh*t

from a marketting perspective, yes they are the kind of idiots you would want to attract because they would buy so much crap and I think they would find whatever reasons to sit their support out (probably by finding someone they find attractive in the team), they do with other crap like Big Brother, etc.

Actually, Daceyville is and always was in South Sydney territory even before the 1930's border relocation.

"Easts" was everything to the East of Anzac Parade. "Souths" were the council areas to the West of Anzac Parade.

Maroubra, Coogee, Randwick half of Kensington, Kingsford, Malabar & Little Bay were Easts.

Daceyville, Pagewood, Eastlakes, Botany, Chifley etc were and always will be South Sydney.

I understand your point, but Daceyville don't have a Rugby League team.
Kensington or Maroubra are the closest... see my point?

Daceyville is still considered Eastern suburbs by anyone besides RL.
