Anyone see Gould's column in the Herald today? He said the call was right and that the ball hit Lui's arm and went forward. Very different to his stance on Friday night, does channel 9 pay him to criticise every ref's decision?

f**k me that shepard at 30-30 would have put Cowboys 32-30 in front

And if the refs had pulled up the ray thompson forward pass from dummy half in the lead up to Cooper's try and when Mini got tackled in the air forcing a line drop out that led to a try.........

Gus,like I'm sure that 99% of Cows fans, when they have settled down, and watched the replay,it was with no doubt a correct decision.

Look,it's very-very hard to go all season and during such an important game and during a moment were it all rides on your sides survival, the human response is understandably a denial that the ruling was incorrect.

It's an inbuilt protective mechanism designed to overcome a traumatic event.

But the reality is that the Cows are not playing in next weeks game because of a correct call.

As hard as it is to swallow.

It would very much appear that way. To build up drama

And you're right, the Lui call could have gone either way, it all comes down to what Shane Hayne sends upstairs as his opinion, but the SBW penalty was just plain disgraceful and that's the one that hurts the most for me. I thought Lui knocked it back and it rolled forward or at worst it went sideways but once it was sent up as a no try it was never getting overturned.

But you've got no issue with the forward pass that was missed on the way to the NQ try no doubt? It's a very similar situation to 2012 where each team copped one very bad and blatant decision against them yet the Cowboys "woe is me" conspiracy theorists are out looking for excuses.

If we're going to go down that path, No it wouldn't have. It would have been 32 all as there should have been an earlier penalty for sims hitting sbw high. Sbw didn't dive though and played on.

Are they? Nobody from the club has said anything like that.

The biggest whinge of the weekend has come from Geoff Toovey, by a far margin.

If Channel Nine wasn't happy with what Gould is doing on its telecasts, I'm sure they'd be the first to either tell him to fall into line or else give him the boot. The fact that he continues to behave as he does suggests it is with the complete blessing of Nine.

Where did I say it was the club? In fact I was specifically referring to Charlie's comments therefore implying he was one of them. AFAIK he's not part of the club.

Got to say, the Cowboys fans are taking this loss really well.

Was a controversial way to end the season but a lot of them have been the first to say they conceded 30, did well just to make a game of it and were only one pass away from going a week further.

Fans have blamed the referees for much less.

On Sims, he's a dirty word around Red Hill but I don't believe it's deserved. Yes, the knock on was a shocker but the Broncos made a bunch of bad errors that night and Sims shouldn't be scapegoated for one that resulted from a great tackle.

I thought he was an underrated part of the Broncos resurgence in 2009 and was impressed with his performance against Manly in the 2012 semi.

They'll miss him but with Tanginoa, Asiata & Kaufusi coming through I believe you'll be able to replace them and think Green has got you guys in good stead heading into 2015

No problem with the knock on...big problem with the strip penalty and the non penalty for the obstruction

How about Mini tackled in the air before a Cows try and they score from set straight from the drop out? The massive forward pass from dummy half in the lead up to Gavin Cooper's try and SBW getting whacked in a high shot from Sims in front of the posts with the scores 30 all and before the 'shephered'?

They're irrelevant, they don't fit the 'Cowboys were robbed' script.

Once again point me in the direction of where the club is claiming that.

Seems to claim that suits LU's agenda, whearas Toovey is treated as hero of fairness and level headness.

Sorry, I didn't mean that the Cowboys were claiming that. I agree its mostly other fans/media beating everything up.

Probably. He'd do whatever Gyngell tells him to. Davey punches on with blokes like Jamie Packer when they disagree. I don't think too many people at nine are running their own race.

Derpy Tallis going at lengths to defend himself for his interview with Thurston.
"Those questions were always going to be asked. I was giving him the heads up, rather then him getting those questions from some nobody in the press conference."
Arrogance to go with the baiting. What an absolute merkin of a person.
