Wouldn't the Knights be better off using Jez's coin on someone like Shillington?
Sure he's a short term option but so is Jez.

If I was rebuilding the Knights starting from next season, I'd be chasing at least 3 quality players. At least a half or hooker and a prop or two.

Fill in the blanks..

1. Gagai
2.
3. Sione
4.
5.
6. Muillen
7.
8. Snowden

17. PAEA

If we can put that on the park, we might do something. It is two signings FFS.

All hinges on a halfback who isn't Roberts. Myler wants a gig here and is worth a shot on say a 2 year prove-it deal.

I think Levi will be up to it. Clydesdale is awful.

We need another prop. Shillo fits the bill 100% and if Gidley isn't on the phone to him he is kidding (you and I both know it's not happening).

Do you reckon our club actually does this exercise ever, or do we just like throw darts at a board or something? Surely they know we need a half. Just because we have one under contract on first grade money doesn't mean we have a first grade half. Have the stones to cut underperformers, you dicks.

i think korbin and stockwell have shown that they are first grade quality, uate and mcmanus too

shillo made 200m yesterday, why would we want him?

good to know we only need two spine players to not be a complete joke

I am glad Shillo confirmed what I have long believed. Injuries have stuffed him this last three years but now he seems to be fit he is a machine. However he doesn't fit our signing criteria. He is a rep player and a good one.

KNIGHTS

Who’s hot: Hulking prop Daniel Safiti is one of a legion of talented Knights youngsters and the Fijian international was one of Newcastle’s best in a disappointing 24-10 Holden Cup defeat to the Sharks.

Along with twin brother Jacob, Safiti forms a lethal one-two punch and when the duo are deployed in tandem they transform the Knights pack into one of the most powerful in the competition.

Still only 19, the Entrance junior has the raw physical talents and just enough of a mean streak to make an impact at any level of the game.

I still think Jeremy Smith can offer something for us next year, but looking at it now we could really use his money to better use.

Just imagine Hodkinson, Glenn and Vete next year ... It's good to dream but I think we'd improve tenfold with those guys in the team.
