But Mahoney believes the major difference between his new job and his last has been his extra workload in attack.

The Queenslander has booted a league-high three 40/20 kicks so far and made 34 dummy-half runs, just under half the number he managed across 28 games last year (70).

"At Parra, there are lot of boys that are very dominating football players," Mahoney explained.

"They have their own right to do that and that's fine, they're ball-runners of the team.

"I've obviously got a bit more freedom to take the line on here (at the Bulldogs).

"I'm still balancing things of when to run and when not to run, balancing having to make a few tackles a game.

"It's something I'm still building and still getting right."

Interesting quotes from Reed about the difference in his attacking game to when he was at parra.

Yep, his use of "freedom" in a few interviews this year seems pointed...

Tbf Flanagan and Hayze Perham don't scream give me the ball. I wouldn't want them touching it either.

Flanagan may as well be a robot who distributes.

Those two compared to Gutho and Moses who want the ball constantly is like comparing two Ron Massey cup players to first graders.

I understand why he didn't have to do much running or ball playing with us.

BUT it's not like Moses or Brown touch the ball 2-3 times a set of 6.

It’s when they get the ball that matters. After a quick play-the-ball you want to give it to your best attacking players. At Parra that was never Reed Mahoney, so any time he ran the ball was essentially a hit up, and we have better players for that as well.

Poor Momo. Reserve for reserves. Time to start looing at some TAFE courses.
One of the best sledges i've heard at a game was someone yelling at Ben Cutting after he'd just been smashed all around the park in one of his early big bash games was "Get a trade Cutting"

I'd advise Momo to do the same.
