Bryce has mostly put the “offload at all cost” mentality to the side. As a result he’s shown he can be a reliable edge who’s got an offload in his game. There’s a time and a place and maybe, just maybe, he’s learnt it.
Bryce and the club deserves some credit here. I don’t know if he had 80 mins fitness in him ever, but I do know that he never had the personal discipline not to do dumb shit. The guy is a revelation in 2023 and whatever the coaching staff did to him in the off season (hypnosis or maybe time away from that crazy female partner) it worked a treat. He can play in the middle or in the edge he’s now an absolute asset to our team. Happy for him.

Yeah, agreed all round. The guy has always had raw talent in spades, but seemed to be a walking brain fart a lot of the time. I think he’s been extremely good this year, really stepped up in defence and his silly shit with the ball is much less than previously. Hoping he can keep it up because he could end up being very handy throughout the year.

There was one where Moses wrapped to the outside of him, two defenders around Cartwright’s legs and three ready to intercept the pass or smash Moses if the ball came anywhere near him, and Bryce looked to throw the world’s maddest offload. I cried happy tears when he held the ball.

Bryce's defence still ain't great.
I'm glad he's gotten smarter with the ball though.

His tackle efficiency is up around 90% this year, playing big minutes, his worst was 85% and his best 93% was Monday against the Tigpies ( 40 tackles 2 missed 1 ineffective ) Only Lane was better with 100% ( 23 tackles )

So whilst not great, it's not bad either, certainly not what you'd call a liability by any stretch.

Could do

Corresponding game last got 26.5k

Weather at this stage looks good
Our Crowds have been poor compared to some other teams so far.

Roosters Home game against us got 21k on a Thursday Night yet we could only get 17k for a derby against penrith.

Admittingly we have had 2 Thursday & 1 Friday 6pm game.

No excuse not to get less then 25k this Sunday.

Took 3yrs but I feel like he is finally Parra fit.

The thing with Cartwright is he has always had the skills. I remember his days at Penrith he was always pulling off big moment passes. It's how he got his nickname FLASH.
Flashy plays.
