Round 5 V Dogs

I have a feeling McGregor will go with this line up (not exactly mine, my team in bold):

1. Dufty
2. Periera
3. Aitken (imo this should be Lomax)
4. Lafai
5. Ravalawa
6. Norman
7. Hunt
8. Graham
9. McInnes
10. Vaughan
11. Leilua
12. T. Sims
13. Friz

14. Lawrie
15. Latimore
16. Kerr (but wouldn't be surprised to see Allgoods name here, however I'd go for Robson here)
17. Lomax (should be Aitken if he insists on having a back on the bench)

18. Field
19. Allgood
20. Pearson
21. Robson

I think its a good opportunity to bring Robson into the 17 as the "extra" forward, to cover bother hooker and on an edge. This would allow for McInnes to move to 13 (if required) and Friz to the edge (if required). I'd also look at moving Kerr into the 15 jumper in place of Lats.
Yeah pretty close
Hosty might still play, he was at Physio yesterday.
Allgood could get picked, with Fiz and LL not likely to play 80min Mary might go with a bencher that can play long minutes

Ravalawa is hopeless defensively and has far too many errors in him NOT to be a liability also.

Also, he’s not all that quick either.
Defense : Needs improvement
Handling errors : poor
Strength : outstanding
Work rate : excellent
Speed : below average

He does a great job of running the ball out of our own end (when he doesn't drop it).
If he improves handling and defense he will be a very good winger.
Give him time.
Patience my friend.

Pathetic. Whinge all you want about missed tackles or why you think you know more than the coach but wishing for one of our own to be injured is a new low.
The coach knows exactly what is happening and why the leaky right side. Mary uses the compressed defence system on many occasion and I believe is also telling Aitken to run up out of the line to cut off the attack. Of course Rava is caught up in this mad tactic and must move inside or leave a gaping hole in the place where Aitken is supposed to defend. Many a time the long pass or long kick for the winger on our right flank ends up in a try.

Drop Aitken to the bench and sack Mary.

THat post should be deleted.
Not a fan of Euen, but this is embarrassing on a Saints forum.
Yep agree %100.
I suspect it’s misguided passion and frustration from FF more than anything else. His posts are clearly from a passionate Dragons fan not someone who wishes ill fate on our players.
But, yes agree with you.

If so, its easy to edit or delete my friend.

You may be right, its just frustration, but he has had ample time to correct the post. We all make blunders, i get that... but wishing an " extended injury " on anyone, let alone on our our own is not acceptable.

We are all passionate, and I have been on record saying that Euen is not 1st grade standard.
Anyway, each to their own.

I can't wish harm on any of our players; it is definitely not Aitken's fault that he is selected each game, it is Mary's decision and that is where the discontent should be targeted.

Instead of Aitken breaking an arm, I would dearly love to see Mary get caught for DUI again. Even our conflicted Board of management could not justify an extension if that happened.

No, not that either, Possum.
I wish no harm or issues to any of our players nor our coach.

No, l'm happy to bag a poor performing player or subscribe to the 'Sack McGregor ' thread on a permanent basis but nothing more. Whether we like them or not, it wouldn't be right to wish ill on them.

Anyway, just my two bobs worth.

His speed is not the problem, I'm afraid it's between the ears ... Decision making is just really poor and does not seem to improve

yep, well said.
He is frickin strong, quite quick over a short distance, but lacks footy nous. Period.

We dropped Mann after 2 blunderous games when he signed with us.
This guy has played over 80 1st grade games, and gets free passage.

Every one can see Lomax, with the few chances he has been offered , is already ahead of Aitken.

Bench ( maybe ), reggies or ESL for Aitken IMHO.

On the occasional time Mann filled for Aitken the defence was much stronger.

Nah, Ravalawa makes Eto Nabuli look like Johnny King.

My red pen has put a mark through his name.
