Sounds like a bit of a miracle recovery. Why is he training so soon after a back injury?Webster spoke to the media today and said that Tohu will be good to go round one of the finals and that he had got through trainning this morning in good shape.
I read that the injury wasn't too bad (back spasms but not debilitatingly so) and it was the flight that would be the issue, rather than the game itself. And whilst I know very little about physiology in that sense, it seems like continuing to train and keep the back 'warm' is better than sitting or lying 24/7. Obviously they want him to keep training towards a game in 9 days, too.Sounds like a bit of a miracle recovery. Why is he training so soon after a back injury?
What’s going on?

It’s great for the supporters morale tooIt's also great for our team morale to have Tohu training.
Get some magnesium glycinate into him as well!Yeah the management of muscular skeletal back injuries changed quite a while ago now, staying mobile is better for most back issues and specific types of exercise are good for lower back pain.
Obviously you avoid lifting and crunches and toe touches....but walking is a good start and if you tolerate more vigorous stuff like running then all the better.
It is all about increasing blood flow to the affected tissue which stops the muscles from stiffening up, removes the waste products or tissue damage etc etc.
Also, you do not want the muscles which support the spine (abdominal for example) being slack and unused, you want them to stay strong and active.
All these factors make the back more stable decrease pain and swelling.
