Population doesn't mean much when it comes to countries performance in sport, having more people to select from doesn't always give you the edge. It comes down to sports facilities and how much can be invested into the sports and specific athletes. There's over a billion people living in India, how many of them have a genuine opportunity to develop their sporting skills?

Also, considering the fact the 70 per cent of Australian adults are over weight. Our population isn't that great of advantage.

Further, even when we were dominating at test football, most people rated SOO more highly.

Exactly, in test cricket they're only ranked above f**king Bangladesh and they are in the bottom half for ODI rankings too.

As for tests, I don't even remember what happened in the last test match, I will watch it, but it doesn't give you those butterflies you get before an Origin match, tests just aren't as exciting for me and I am pretty sure a lot of NRL fans agree.

Not since the glory Kangaroo tours of the 80's has Test RL inspired that sort of emotion.
