Why are you posting images of a drawn match? I don't recall this as a draw:

Remember this?

Neither do I.

The series was drawn, so we retained the Trophy.

You only drew matches in the World cup, you didn't actually win anything.

Gosh, you are one stupid knob jockey.

Yep but we spread around in more sports, and we're ranked above you in the majority of those sports too.

If you did the match, and standardised everything, we'd still be better than you.

Cricket you made the quarters: we made the semis: you probably have 10 times the budget for cricket.

We beat you at the league WC, on payments of 1/4 what your domestic origin guys make.

Union would be closer to dollar for dollar but Giteau and Lote were on crazy money that no NZ'er ever has gotten.

Nope dollar for dollar, NZ beats you.

So you lost the match? To New Zealand? New Zealand BEAT YOU in a test? but you said

The true form of cricket is Tests. Australia were in shit form and you still couldn't beat us.

Is Australia still deemed a sporting nation? I mean ten years ago you have the cricket world cup, the rugby league world cup and the union world cup.

NZ now holds two of those cups, and you have none. NZ even went further in the cricket world cup than you guys. NZ has far less money and far less people. It is like USA losing Basketball, Baseball, and Gridiron to Haiti.

Is Australia still a sporting nation? Or is it just an internal domestic sporting scene because you can no longer win cups on the international stage?

You're talking about one cricket series ffs. On rankings, which take into account how well a team is doing overall, we're killing you in both test cricket and ODI. Your argument is completely flawed, you just can't hack it, because you're a try hard intellectual bully. Man you fluked a few wins, get over it, we've been dominating for years.

As for Union, it relies on very little skill or tactics. You can invest as much or as little as you want, at the end of the day genetics will one out. Like with athletics, poor African countries can dominate despite a lack of investment because their genetics helps them out.

So Australia is still a sporting nation? You just don't have any of the world cups you used to? Whereas NZ has two and goes further in the cricket world cup? Is that what you're saying?

Are you going to bring up Bradman as a recent domination too, because you don't dominate without McGrath and Warne, and they retired a while ago.

As for union, I prefer league, but Laurie Daley admits himself that Union is a complicated game and that league is a simple one.

Agree with Tonearm Terrorist.

Although I don't think Origin is the pinnacle of rugby league, I think it is the pinnacle of Australian sport. The article below shows just how big Origin is, constantly setting records.

Origin breaks TV records again

The biggest Sydney audience in the history of OzTAM ratings for any program on the Nine Network has celebrated the NSW VB Blues’ stunning 16-12 victory over the XXXX Queensland Maroons at ANZ Stadium last night.

An average Sydney audience of 1.199 million viewers on the Nine Network tuned in as the VB Blues forced a series-deciding match in front of a record crowd of 83,110 fans – the biggest attendance at a Sydney Origin since the reconfiguration of ANZ Stadium following the 2000 Olympics.

The OzTAM ratings, introduced in 2001, recorded the largest Sydney audience in Harvey Norman State of Origin history and placed last night’s match as the third highest rating program in Sydney ever across all networks.

A national average audience of 3.865 million viewers tuned in across the Nine, WIN and NBN networks, the second largest audience in Origin history after Game 1 of this year’s series (3.957m).

Across the five capital cities on Channel Nine, 2.495 million average viewers tuned in – again the second highest in Origin history after Game One of this year’s series (2.515m).

Across regional Australia, the match was also the second highest rating Origin match ever, with an average audience of 1.370 million.

The match was the most watched in Origin history in Melbourne, with a record average audience of 370,000 viewers, and the highest rating Game Two in history.

It was an outstanding result for a remarkable game,” ARL Commission Interim Chief Executive, Mr Shane Mattiske, said today.

“Origin keeps setting new benchmarks in Australian sport with the series selling out in every state and setting new ratings records with each match.”

Nine Network Managing Director, Mr Jeffrey Browne, said: “The contest was as great as the concept.

“We salute the players, the best in the world, and their coaches Ricky Stuart and Mal Meninga, who do so much to promote Origin.

“It doesn’t get any better. Personally, I’m so proud of our commentators and crew – and how they put together a record-breaking broadcast to once again confirm Nine’s commitment to the great game of Rugby League.”

Game Three of the 2012 Harvey Norman State of Origin Series will be played at Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium on Wednesday, July 4.

So you can't answer my question of the last time NZ win a test cricket series? I honestly don't think it's happened in my life time.

Not sure what relevance Benji holding whatever trophy that Is to the question has tbh.

5 more years...

You have a shot next year to regain some form of international pride back... New Zealand does only have 1 fulltime professional RLC club and you guys do have 15.

Come on Anti, you guys don't win many RL internationals, how could you forget the 2010 Four Nations?
