I am sitting by the pool with my iPad, asking why the NRL are asking volunteers to undertake courses to qualify to run the water and pay a fee to do an online course even for the U6s. Then make it compulsory to accredit any trainers that treat on field injuries to be NRL qualified and charge them $160 to take the course, and state that you can't start play if there are no such qualified people in the club, St Johns Ambulance have been told they are not suitable. We have used them for a long time, and make a generous donation through fund raising to support them.

Just venting that they boast about how much money they have, and then charge people to get accreditation, who are volunteers supporting kids and the community .

This is an NRL rule, passed down to the junior leagues, does " out of touch " do it justice

Would be nice if the NRL picked up the tab.
The junior teams over my way have everything paid for, rego for the kids is zero, and they provide the uniform. I think Souths might pay for it.
My kids play soccer and the rego is about $250. But the league are doing well and would be getting a lot of kids signed up whose parents can't afford the rego.

Hi ME, bit different in the Parra Jnr League, too many participants and clubs to pay for everything, we charge $150 and the boys get rego, shirt, shorts, socks, training shirt and yearbook to keep

But am ticked off that volunteers for the game are the asked to not only spend time, but also cash to participate, thinking is dumb

I found this video on YouTube of some mad merkins on the piss. They walk into some Mediterranean_Descendant's kebab shop like they own the place and absolutely run amok!

If they weren't such staunch merkins someone might have bashed them. No one did but.

Agree. Clubs can't operate without all the volunteers. They do a fantastic job.
