It was also mentioned that Kasiano may be going to union and that the Bulldogs are 400k under the cap due to Barba leaving the club for the next two years !

Surely the dogs are still paying part of Barba's salary?

Galloway is here for 2015 and 16. Will be 31 then and finished.
If he is on the paddock we will get great value.
Just need some luck with injury.
His actual form has never really dropped.

Galloway isn't getting any younger and with age comes a higher susceptibility to injury.

Cut him loose now, not after we sign him up for another 3 years riddled with injury and worsening performances, which is so much more likely than his coming back and playing his best footy ever.

He'll be 30 by the end of next year

His age is fine. A lot of props play their best footy at 30. Problem is he now seems to have the body of a 50yr old.

Starting to think Woods is overrated. His stats are always good but he looks like another Heighington: real minimal impact, none of which is measured by statistics. We need some mongrel, some aggression and someone who is feared by opposition players.

I disagree. He doesn't need any of that - he needs to get us going forward, defend well and offer us more than what he did last week. Busting the line, scoring a try close to the line and making a nice offload are all things that he can do. It definitely wouldn't hurt to have someone like Fifita. I just don't think it is essential.

He had a poor game last week. I hope that was a one off rather than the curse of signing for the Tigers and then playing like crap.

Blair was absolutely non existent again today. The only player not to shine.

Have to agree , I can't pick a man of the match as there are a lot of contenders, BUT I can pick the invisible man for rnd 2.... jeez after a fantastic win that piece of crap contributed nothing... sorry to add something negative after today but this thread is about his performances and he has failed 2 from 2. Drop this merkin now.

Played limited minutes but I thought he was good actually. Carried along in an outstanding team performance. But it was also the first time ive seen him taking the first hit up in a set and he did about four times. A sound game all round but overshadowed by most of our other forwards.

At least it was first grade standard-ish.

Blair's 50th game for WT.

Quick, get me a stats guru - how many metres has Blair made over the course of 50 games?

This is the problem though. Blair plays ok-ish in a forward pack that was on top but was completely overshadowed by bench players on less that a third of what he is on. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if Taupau, Ava.s, Patterson, Sue and Gavet were collectively on the same amount that Blair gets just to himself.

It is just not good enough for 500k a year.

F**k Blair sh*ts me,the verbal crap he goes on with every pre season about improving and having a good year never eventuates. Now it looks like BMM is going to be weeded out of the club, when we all know who should be given the ar*e !

I think what frustrates everyone about Blair is that he is supposed to be our star-marquee back rower and is just an average player.
500k per season is a lot. You could pay that and get someone like Sam Burgess or Fensom, which would make an immediate huge difference to our pack.
It's just unfortunate that Blair can't live up to this expectation.

I believe the blame lies only with Blair's manager. Why? Because that genius managed to convince Tim Sheens he was worth 500k per season and probably hyped him up secretly. Blair probably shat his pants when he heard 500k a season....not like he's going to say no?
