The Bunker

After todays warriors game... im convinced bunker should change the order in which they review things...

If they started with the grounding, and worked back from there, it would decrease the time its currently taking...

atm they go through checking, on-side, block plays, knock on etc... then clear those 3 things and then work out the player has dropped it when grounding it

That would make it longer because they would always have to check the whole play to get the restart right. If you start from the start and there is a error/penalty early in the play you can stop the review then but if you go from the end you will have to clear everything that happened after the error occurred first

Exactly.

Can anyone explain to me how the bunker "wasn't certain that Manu would have gotten there first" given the fact he did get there first even after getting blatantly pushed over?

We did score straight after but it is just another example of crap video reffing.

Also, why is the bunker checking things they weren't asked to?

Vunivalus try off the bomb.

The ref only asked to check the onside, yet Patten went and checked everything.

So Tony Archer confirmed that they got the Josh Jackson 'try' call wrong on Thursday night.

Anyone with half a brain could see that Lichaa clearly interfered with Guerra.

Another shocking call by the bunker.

It's easy to say it after once the 'right' result for the match has been achieved. Wonder what will be said about some of the decisions at Shark Park last night.

If a driver can't push their player over to enhance their possibility of scoring a try then they sure as shit can't help ground the ball for them.

No surprises as to who gave it the green light.

There was more to the Fifita knock-on than the replays showed.

Degois was all over him in the tackle before he dropped the ball & it should've been a penalty, although he did have no direct part in him dropping it. i.e. No hand on ball

I think he got under Fifita's skin & he dropped his concentration & dropped it.

The commentators were adamant it was a try too but I was thinking, WTF??

Failed again today in the warriors game. Sezer tackles afoa, bunker claims afoa interfered, no try.
Waste of money.

Afoa did interfere. Correct ruling.

I don't think he did, but I can stomach the decision. The gaping hole opened up on account of the contact, so regardless of who initiated it, it's always going to look bad on the attacking team.

It was a try. Not even a 50/50.

The gap didn't open because of the attacker, the gap was not able to be closed because the defender went to the ground after he closed in on Afoa, eyes only for Afoa, made the tackle on Afoa.

Decoys are told to hit the gap on the inside shoulder which is exactly what Afoa did and it was Sezer who got into a bad position that created the opportunity. He was never looking at SJ, and he was never looking at Fusitua.

Nope. Watch the reply. Sezar only had eyes for afoa and instigated the contact.
Wrong. Afoa ran straight through Sezer. Made no attempt whatsoever to not instigate contact with a defender while not carrying the ball.

Referee immediately called a no-try and the video ref only had to take one look at it.

Clear no try.
