Does Mr Reece (the guy who works for Bruce and tries to blackmail him) = Mys-ter-ees = Mysterious = Riddler ?

Personally can't see that happening as the Riddlers name is Edward Nygma, and I can't see Nolan changing characters names just to fit them in.

Plus, the Riddler is super lame, and would be completely out of place in Nolans Gotham.

Geez, people are really blowing this movie out of all proportion. As I said earlier, a three star movie saved by Ledger's astounding performance. I see nothing more than that.

Maybe you should watch it again and look beyond the surface and take more notice of the themes that it contains.

I take your point elyod. I know you weren't acting like an ass. It's just my opinion. I will view it again at some point though. I liked the movie.

TBH, i think you missed quite a bit in your haste to write this off as just another tent pole superhero film.
I don't see what the marketing had to do with the critical buzz around this movie. All seems fairly stock standard marketing fair for mine. Sure Ledgers death would have helped in creating some interest, but this kind of critical aclaim doesn't come from solely that.

I like that they didn't explain the Jokers background. It furthers the absolute insanity of the character. You don't know why he's doing what he's doing, cause noone does. Batman, Alfred, Harvey, Gordon all have no idea what his go is. And that's the point of the joker. He thrives on pure anarchy and pushing Gothams heroes to destroy themselves. All for what seems like purely the fun of it.

There's a couple of things i didn't like either..that whole mobile phone thing seemed a little too much like a bond movie, overall however this is one of the movies of the year and surely the best superhero themed movie yet.

There was a press conference with Nolan and he said it won't be released in China or Korea, because he hates Misanthorpe.

I remember reading that news.com article the day it was posted - Bored at work, I rarely venture near news rubbish as it's an online mix of Cosmo and NW. What a mistake that was.

Makes me think though, what kind of p*ssy kid doesn't enjoy seeing sh*t blown up and baddies being filled with lead?
