Voss asks Johns a good question about selection for Origin. Then backs it up with evidence and Johns gets all sh*tty about it and gets sarcy with with Voss.

Johns is a dick, and tries to hard to be mates with all the players and guests

Voss hopefully will get his revenge on the roast but he is more professional than that. There is deefinate tension with Johns and Voss. More so with Johns. I think hes pissed that Voss gets a lot of attention on the show. In previous seasons Johns has been the panel member that would have the final comment or last word type thing weather it be good or bad but now its Voss whos asking great questions and pressing the players on the issues of the game and getting the answers. Voss is brilliant on the show and after 5-6 years of 20% footy talk 80% comedy/jokes they are finally getting some good things going and moving forward talking footy but Johns doesnt like it and wants things the way they used to be and hates the new boy on the block

I think the footy show has been pretty good this year.

I could be wrong, but the Johns/voss thing looks put on for ratings to me.

According to the posts in LU, this years footy show has been generally well recieved. I agree that it is much better than in previous years. It is following the AFL footy show format in some ways.
The show does need an asshole though (like Sam Newman). Voss is trying to achieve that goal.

yer i agree that TFS has been better this year
it can't be all about footy obviously, i think they're getting really close to the right mix

We need to find a good comedian as well..

The thing about the footy show is that it is run on a low budget. With that in mind, they are bringing on local knock-about comedians who charge next to nothing - because they are sh*te.

Couldn't agree more, and like the AFL show they should ask the guests hard questions.

GET RID OF THE CHIMP!!! He is not funny and is gutless when it comes to asking the tough questions.

In fact it's time for Fatty and Johns to bugger off.

Wow I used to like Matthew Johns but he was such a jerk to Andrew Voss last night. Vossy was actually trying to make some valid points and Johns decided to act like an ass.

I don't know why anyone would think Fatty has to go. He's a fine host IMO because he's a straight talker and he still comes up with some funny calls.
