As usual a Bronco fan making it all about themselves

Remember when they missed the finals and RL was dead to most of them??? The most arrogant self entitled bandwagoning soft c**ks in the comp. They lose two games in a row and the sky is falling

Remember when they cracked the shits and started their own comp? Good times. They also did a fantastic job of ruining the BRL competition.

Gallen talking up teams not being up to first grade 18 months after his team won its last spoon.

Good luck to the Sharks in having some success but no need to kick people when they are down.

I was thinking the exact same thing. I'm as happy as the next person to see the Sharks doing well but he has an extremely short memory. Kicking another bunch of players when they're down - especially when most of them are just rookies is pretty disgusting and unprofessional. Not totally surprised with Gallen though.

People laugh at the Hodkinson signing quite rightly. The sad part is though that that's the only type of big name we will ever get.

Cooper Cronk comes off contract and every club without a star 7 under the sun is an option. The Dragons are supposedly right in there, and they aren't a glamour club.

Instead we have to pay Cooper Cronk money to a guy like Hodkinson who has given himself a ridiculous asking price by being generously chosen in the NSW side.

Every other club knows he's a spud.

I think our management chased him because we needed a name, and they could tell everyone they were doing their job because we were able to attract a NSW spine player. Bravo. This is why we are at the cap.

We are not even an iota of a chance of getting a player that other clubs actually want. Every other club is. That's the frustrating part. We would be last on the list by a long way with the exception of the Warriors...except that we have no competitive advantage with the kiwis like RTS or Luke to bring home.

The change will have to come from within and even then we are up against it. Today and the Tapine situation at the start of the year go hand in hand.

I feel your pain mate, we were there in 2012-13. Looks like our massive dodgy TPA's of 270k per season got us back being competitive. Sadly now we are a stain on the game, 2m TPA's are fine though.

You went on a rant about Broncos fans making it all about us, when in fact I hadnt mentioned the Broncos until after you did.

You team are salary cap cheats. My team is top 4. Deal with it.
And squeaky clean i bet, don't you love the even playing field the salary cap is providing??? RL has never been stronger, i mean the comp is so exciting with all theses close games. I just love the fact that all clubs spend the same on their cap, makes it so even and exciting.

5 weeks ago this Knights team beat the Tigers which is their only win so far this year. Since then they have lost 4 in a row.

53-0
26-10 (poor effort from Manly)
38-0
62-0

That's a month that adds up to 179-10.

What's going on at the Knights. How far back do you have to go to find a team that has had such a rotten run.

What does Nathan Brown do at training? Sure nobody had them as a top 8 team but even spoon contenders don't lose by that much that often.

Well $ouffs past 4 weeks haven't been much better !

Surely being a Souths supporter you would answer this one for yourself?

I saw someone post on here today something along the lines of " last time I saw a team put on 62-0 it was us on souths, i never thought that we'd become a club like that'.
When won the premiership the first thing I thought of was every single one of those floggings and how sticking through the club through all those periods was worth it for that one moment of glory.

Exactly.

We were stripped of the ANZAC Day match because we were an embarrassment.

At halftime I noticed all the streamers on the field & it was a bit amusing watching a few players get entangled in them.

When they were stretched out over the field, I thought I was at the SFS....Red, Blue & WHITE.

WTF Knights, get back to who you are. You are red & blue...f**k off the White!!

As a Sharks supporter who has watched every single game for the last 15 years I come from a position of authority when it comes to floggings and dud, uncompetitive squads and it pains me to say it cause I've been there but I'm struggling to remember an NRL squad THIS bad.

When a drubbing like this is metered out there is usually a scorching effort and a heap of luck for one side and an error riddled, cursed performance from the other mob. The scary thing is the Knights werent THAT bad today on the standard metrics of the game. They completed plenty of sets, didn't drop much ball, got plenty of penalties, their long kicking game wasn't awful and the kick chase was
largely enthusiastic.

It didn't matter. It was men against boys stuff. Their forwards simply couldn't make any ground, they couldn't come close to handling the Sharks go forward and their edge defence was deplorable. The tries looked like training ground moves.

The only way to fix this is to get better players in the squad, stat. How? Who knows?

When you choose to rebuild a club and start blooding young players you don't expect not to be able to play your experiences players -Snowden, Mullen, Macmanus, Hodgkinson, Rochow, other players like the two Mata'utia's Chanel and Peter, Mamo. Its a rather large injury toll and when you trying to rebuild a roster you need everything to go right. The Knights have used 31 players so far this year after only ten rounds. Take the top five players and couple of others out a club and how would you expect any team perform.

So in reality, you are building a team from scratch you can't afford to have such a large injury toll. Just makes the problem worst. So the Knights are in the position in which the left side centre Pat Mata'utai for one needs to be dropped but the knights have got no one to replace him with.

The knights main problem is the structure and technique used in defence ( Its been like that for the last 10 to 15 years). No shoulders if defence , slide and not commit, grab on and then be carried ten metres before stopping the player. They have never been good at the wrestle, so why try - put them on the deck and limit the time they have the ball , a la walker bros.

In attack, more direct, run harder and use the ball when you do create the space.

The effort by the Knights is there, with smarter coaching and a smarter style of football (like driving the ball at the sideline from kick offs and getting the feed -happened today) they can improve and limit the damage.
It needs Brown to be braver as a coach and play a different style of football- If you keep doing what you are currently doing when every other team is better at it, you not going to win.

Nice summation. I feel sorry for them tbh. Can't be fun getting wrecked every week.
