How many points are you going to drop at the Boleyn next week? Good thing you are a few points ahead and can afford to drop a few.

:)

Good game, despite the result it was a good game to watch.. Man U defence is everywhere..

No disappointment with that score line.. Much better side then any of the other "big" clubs we have played this year..

Enjoy the title..again..

If we can beat inter in the CL, skys the limit.

See what happens March 1 and how serious Sir Alex takes the carling cup.

how bloody good was giggs goal, highlight of his former glory, wide winger, cuts back in (avoids a flying cole), cuts back in again (avoiding another hammer) then curves it around the keeper..vintage giggs

sir alex will take the carling cup seriously, anything for more trophies

Giggs has been my player of the season this season... he just looks deadly every time he gets involved. the guys just seem to play with more confidence when hes on the pitch

4-1 on derby, side had rested 7 top team players, should have been 5 but the linesman f*cked up an offside call against ronaldo, was an amazing goal, foster started it with an awesome throw, giggs vision to find ronaldo from a flick on..celebrating until the touchy decided to put his flag up...

Rafael was clearly impacting upon the play. Should have been an easy offside call.

But it evened up in the end i guess after Ronaldo's goal was unfairly ruled offside.

Irrelevant. It's not like an attacker who played the ball in league and can't disappear.

He was clearly in an off-side position and was involved in the play. By doing his best to avoid the ball he was in essence actively off-side. So your own point is the reason it was off-side.

Had he been 5 yards to the left or right it would not have mattered, but just by having to jump over the ball he was clearly invovled in the play and his presence may have obstructed the keepers view and/or decision making.

I recall exactly the same thing happening in the Champions League 2nd Leg Semi between Chelsea and Liverpool last year. I think it was Essien who scored but there were clearly one or two Chelsea players off-side and in and around the line of the ball. So they were affecting the play.

And on that occasion it was given offside.

Didnt see it, is that the whole passive off side thing? That area can be so murky sometimes, but if someone had to 'jump over the ball', as Tommy said above, clearly, the goal should not have stood.

ronaldo's free kick hit the wall (as usual) and it bounced into the path of gibson who toe pocked it and rafael had to jump to get out of the way

I love Man U but Ronaldo is a very overrated free kick taker, a little like Roberto Carlos with that one banana kick. Mihajlovic was the best I ever saw.
