He's an ordinary playmaker but a phenomenal footballer, for his age. I think the problem is merkins are rating him as a primary playmaker, whereas in our team he is the fourth fiddle in our spine. His main jobs are running and tackling, and he does them well.
I reckon he is, at least for talent. His body or mental health might let him down, but he is a phenomenon. Once in a generation.
I thought he did. He just did more kicking and less running. As you'd expect from a player with different strengths. However, Jarthur didn’t seem out of the action anywhere near as much as Drown.
He didn't really seem to me to get any more good ball. He didn't put anyone through a gap and his centre and winger each only got one run that wasn't a hit up. He played a similar role to Drown, except as I said, with more kicking and less running. You reckon Mahoney and Moses have more faith in his attacking ability and giving him better ball? That’s telling if so.
He is averaging over 100m per game.Other than tackling well, how is he going fine? This year he has been suspended twice for a total of 4 weeks, has 0 LBAs, only 1 try assist, 1 try and 3 line breaks (and everyone raves about his running game).
Well he is playing the same position (right half) but not trying to play like Brown. Instead he is playing to his own strengths. Why would the coach try to make him play the same way as a different type of player? Good coaching is surely to have your players play to their strengths.Oh ok. It seems Arthurs told his son to play a different role in his first game then the one he gives Brown.
Very strange.
Also awesome. Something I find interesting is the likely reasons for such young players debuting in the NRL. In the case of Walker and Walsh it is obviously their incredible talent; they already have skills that are rare amongst even established first graders and I would be surprised if they don't go on to become superstars. However in the case of Jake Arthur, he looks like he will be just a solid first grader, maybe with a few Origins if he's lucky. But he debuted so young due to his maturity. Probably the same reason Jordan Rankin debuted so young.Thoughts on kid at Warriors that Phil Gould head hunted ? I thought he looked more impressive considering he is in a weak side.
The guy running the Two's but getting none of the credit.Who the hell is Jordan Rankin?
Some bloke BA doesn’t talk too.Who the hell is Jordan Rankin?
Yeah I've been impressed from the little I've seen and expected him to get the call up.The guy running the Two's but getting none of the credit.
All the stats point to the fact that he is not an NRL half. Centre, maybe fullback (we have a better one in Gutho) or a utility seem to be better fits.He is averaging over 100m per game.
The guy people regularly confuse for Jordan AtkinsWho the hell is Jordan Rankin?

He's not as quick as I thought, Guthrie ran him down very easily
A 28 yo man stuck in the body of a bald 47 yo.Who the hell is Jordan Rankin?
I rate Sam Walker - a real talent.
But he can't defend for shit.
I also rate Dylan Brown - fantastic defender -, but his attack is way behind Walker's.
I guess it comes down to what is better for our team at this stage - we seem to be doing just fine with Dylan not creating many tries, or opportunities.
However, he needs to work on that aspect of his game.
I'm sure he can get there - I think he's a very, very talented footballer.
