we aren’t overpaying, it’s the market rate for a half.......

Additionally 40 games is stuff all for a half (and his defence/running game is already pretty decent). Listen to Matty Johns (aside from his piss take / joking side he is one of best half coaches in the game) talk about development of halves. Basically his view is don’t expect much from them in their first 100 games as they are basically just trying to survive in the NRL.

And look at our now “elite” half Moses, finally after 150 or so games he is finally starting to get what is required for a half back....

And on Mahoney after 40 or so games, he apparently had a limited game with no running ability .......look at him now.

In Moses's first 34 games he had 21 try assists. In his first 57 games he had 39. That's way better than what Brown is producing at the same stage of his career. And I doubt Moses was on the same kind of coin as Brown is, even though he was playing for a shit club. We could be getting the same performance as Brown for about half the price.

Oft-maligned Luke Brooks had 30 try assists from his first 45 games. So that's 67%, whereas Brown is around 28%.

In Moses's first 34 games he had 21 try assists. In his first 57 games he had 39. That's way better than what Brown is producing at the same stage of his career. And I doubt Moses was on the same kind of coin as Brown is, even though he was playing for a shit club. We could be getting the same performance as Brown for about half the price.

Do you ever see Brett Kenny play ? He was a tackler, a runner and a backeruperer. His job was not to create TAs. that was Sterlo's job. Bert's job was to run the ball, back up and tidy up. Does Dylan need to follow the ball more ? Yes, @TheRam is right he does - BUT we have Gutho who does that job. Dylan runs the ball 100m per game, tackles and tidies up. He's really good at the stuff he does ATM and I'm confident that his game will grow and prove you f**kers wrong.

Brett Kenny didn’t play in an era of split halves. In this day and age Brett Kenny would have been a fullback.

The game is heading back towards the halves attacking on the same side of the field. The Bunnies often have their 7, 6 and 1 involved in the same shift play.

It's true that Brown has a lot of room for improvement, but he is a great defender (and not costing us any games), and our team is winning.
