I just got back home from the rally, there were not many people, but all of the guys who have turned up all had the same theme ..

if they didn't have the same theme it would've been even more of a failure than it sounds like it was

clarification..

Marshal did tell me that there was actually about 25 turn up, they were all addressed by Ovo, who may of asked the group a question and apparently only 4 people put their hand up.

the group then proceeded to the leagues club for a drink..believe or not.

I would say a Few more than that, I counted about 30 before the main group rallied around the gentleman who appeared to be the truckie, but I was observing from the 1st Floor of the leagues club.

Marshal assumed that Ovo may of asked the group, who here is a member? but can't confirm.

I spoke with Ovo at length afterwards, yes the question was how many of you are members of the football club. Alan believed the answer was 3. There were a few more allegations levelled at Ovo, some from the Truckie, but the majority of the group wanted to hear what Ovo had to say and told the Truckie to let Ovo speak. Ovo also got a round of applause during the meeting.

I just got back home from the rally, there were not many people, but all of the guys who have turned up all had the same theme ... at least Alan Overton came down and had a good chat with us all.

I can now see why so many people respect this guy, he takes the time to listen and also he takes the time to show how much the club means to him.

the 14th december will be interesting .....

Something I have been fortunate to witness since I met Alan in 1998, after I got into a bit of a war with him over Denis on the official message board. The man's passion for this club is something I can tell you that never ceases to amaze me.

BTW I was asked to the club to see a new section they have put in for the smokers, even better than the balcony area. I think it is very very classy and nice and apparently meets all the requirements set out by the government, I can see that being a very popular place in the future. It only opened this week. If you are a member get down and have a look in the morning (when the smokers aren't there). (Sorry no photos of that yet).

I am a voting member. Have been for four years..Is it possible to cast a proxy? I live in the bush and won't be at the AGM..
Denis Fitzgerald would get MY vote. You can't blame Fitzy for the deeds of the players..He doesn't miss tackles or bomb tries. He doesn't get out on the piss and misbehave. He tells it like it is, and that gets up people's noses.
He is not a YES man, and you can't buy experience...

Or ability. ;-)

Ahh well, at least those 25 had the balls to get out there and give it a go.

Can't knock em for trying!

i'm sure if the DT does an article on it that number will swell to 250 or 2,500

Massoud must be feeling like a real dickhead right about now seeing he'd written article upon article about getting rid of Fitzy and a piece on the rally to promote it

i wonder if any "journos" (for want of a better word ) turned up to cover it - or if they just helped give these dudes a false sense that they might achieve something and then hang em out to dry?

I was watching from the balcony of sterlos bar along with Pj Marshal, eelzy and Nikki

It seemed that there was someone taking a lot of photos. Wouldn't be surprised if they were a journo

Though there wasn't much to report on. Just looked like (from afar) a bunch of parra fans loitering in the car park and hanging around. Very subdued.

If it was during the season, it would look like they were waiting for the supporters bus to pick them up
