Lmao at all the idiots who can't read. It specifically states that The Bulldogs wanted her to go to the police. How is that covering things up? Please someone answer that question for me

What are The Bulldogs going to do, drag her to the cops against her will?

How's it covering things up????

His suspension was sold as a gambling and alcohol problem which was overcome/cured in a few short weeks as it turned out. Amazing rehab there.

Didn't Wally Lewis mention something about domestic violence during a news report when this story first broke?

Do you think they have?

I don't know, I don't work for them

The girl refused to go the police and refused to press charges. She stated she would deny it if contacted.

Do you think The Bulldogs should have acted against her wishes?

Another one who can't read. It states he checked himself out and the club did not believe he had completed his counselling

"The Bulldogs claim the Broncos have been fully informed about Barba's off-field history. New Bulldogs CEO Raelene Castle was also fully briefed on the incident by Greenberg before the former CEO took up a high profile position with the NRL."

Yep, really covering things up aren't they

Broncos sack players like Gagai for discipline reasons but sign Barba who had off field issues. I hope this bites the Broncos on the ass with these double standards

This is the kind of thing that would never happen at a properly managed club like the Sydney Roosters.

Alcoholics (e.g. Todd Carney) are given three chances, and publicly defecating troublemakers (e.g. Nate Myles) two chances, and if they blow it then they are released.

 You've got no friggen idea. Carney had about 3 chances per month while he was at the roosters.

Do you think he was suspended and sent to rehab because of alcohol and gambling issues alone???? Only to be cured and cleared by his doctors 14 days later???? That rehab program would have become World renowned by now. Lindsay Lohan would be stoked!!!!

Freddy ends up pissed as a parrot at Glebe Police Station. Mini is toey with Le Gaz. Miles dumping in pot plants. Anthony Watts just being Anthony Watts. Bryan Fletcher in a brawl........If they are properly managed how come the best player ever only stays for a few months?

The Dogs handled it well. Very well. Puts them in a great light. Makes the Broncos look hypocritical regarding Gagai, Brett Seymour etc.

F*cking ridiculous that the woman would whinge to Greenburg and not the police.

Do you think the story would of leaked if Barba was gonna stay at the Bulldogs next year?

Do you think the Bulldogs leaked the story because they are bitter at Barba for leaving?

It would have got out somehow, but I don't think Ben was ever going to stay at the club after this incident

I think they leaked it cause they knew it would get out anyway. Is there an element of bitterness about it, probably, but I don't know for sure

So Blake misses Origin and however many games for allegedly groping a woman and Barba missed 4 for allegedly punching one. If this is true Todd Greenburg is the ultimate spinner. This was known in some circles but never went public like all the other incidents this year which is a bit of a farce

Statement from the Bulldogs
Sunday 1 September 2013 6:53 AM

The Bulldogs have requested the NRL Integrity Unit investigate allegations raised in today's media in relation to Ben Barba.
The Club will offer comment once those investigations are complete.

Surely the NRL only need to refer to their investigation that would have been completed back when they were notified at the start of the year?

Well what a shock there was more to the story. If this is true Greenburg has alot to answer for, especially now he is 2nd in charge at the NRL. Although I will say he did a good job in covering it up, he had a large no of people feeling sorry for Barba and people were praising him for taking action to fix his issues etc etc.

This
Why are they asking the integrity commission to look into it now, 7 months later?
