When all the players from the 2010 SG Ball side come through to FG we should be sweet.
Just be patient.
do we want players who in 2010 were associated with the club that was:-
1) a rabble
2)had no academy
3)junior recruitment pitiful until Nolan joined this year
4)playing to win games not to playing to the first grade coaches game plan

How long do you think, MITS ? Personally I think that Kearney should see out his contract until the end of 2013 and an assessment made mid next year. The minimum for a satisfactory result in 2012 should be a top 8 finish. If we do not go with him beyond 2013 we should go all out for someone like Bellamy but knowing our luck we will probably just bring back Brian Smith.

Personally as I have always said I will give the coach 18 months from when he joined as a grace period. That time frame is coming up.

While the performance on Monday night showed some extra vigor, I hope for next week to see that backed up, and again and again, that the players heads are in the game, something I don't think has been true of this club for an extended period from May 2010.

If we do not make the 8 this year, then yes I think there should be some serious questions asked. Would I give him the next 6 months to prove that his strategies have worked, maybe depends on how close we are to the eight.

Having said that if we don't make the eight this year, then there are going to have to do something pretty serious to stop people from turning on the club.

Ever since SK had the players on that building site, Hayne has been getting injured. I think they were building the academy. When is it finished ?

question;
would majority agree that we are better off now with SK than we were with DA?
given we were playing finals footy and a GF.
in saying that SK is laying a long path witch will take a couple of years to master imo.

i like SK and i can see what he is trying to do here ,but i really think DA was hard done by ,maybee im wrong [shrugs]

Correct. SIR alex ferguson took 7 years to get that illusive league title. Now he is regarded the greatest manager of any sport of all time . . .

Imagine if the board caved in to the countless threats and abuse by fans? would united be where they are today? Debatable . . . but hard to see it happening.

2018 here we come. Let's extend SK's contract for 7 years just in case he becomes the next Alex Ferguson.

If people turn from the club after two seasons under Kearney because they miss the eight despite him making a raft of other improvements I'm happy if they go and stopping them from quitting the club would be no priority at all.

I wouldn't be taking another step back and hurting the club to mollycoddle a deserter, that's for sure.

Exactly.
You're kidding Mark. :?
Those that lived through the 90's know what it's like to go through extremely tough times.
As Bigfella said, those that want to walk, can keep on walking.
Don't worry though. They'll be back when we start winning again. And they would always have been "Parra Fans".

Don't listen to them, Pete. You support whoever you like.

Good Greif, I said they would turn on the club not turn away from it? Please go back and read it again.

What I mean is they would start fighting internally and try and find someone to blame.

But it doesn't look like Hayne.
I reckon that's some other bloke with a body to heavy for his knees.

Suity

I don't think it has anything to do with weigh, afterall Marmin put too much pressure on his knee for Wenty, but I'm no expert on the matter, where is Eels Dude when you need him?
