There were no "changes" mentioned above you idiot, it was detailing the natural stoppages in the game that occur now and the oppurtunity to place ads in them.

How do you explain Soccor (as you spell it) getting billions of pounds for uninterrupted broadcasts?

Those natural stoppages will probably be used for advertising as of next season.

I assume you are referring to EPL when you say soccor?

Sky Sports relies on subscriptions to make back its “billions of pounds” (you couldn’t Google the actual figure?). Its simple supply and demand, if sky can make a profit on its “billions of pounds” they will pay it.

Just like the current negations with the NRL, stations will make offers that will be profitable to them.

Make sense “you idiot” ?

so the AFL makes 15-25% more profit for TV stations?

ummm, not quite....

NRL generated 80% of the ad revenue at 60% of the cost. NRL also drove far more subscriptions take up then AFL. So no, based on the previous deals AFL does not make more profit for TV Stations.

Now ad in up to 70 million in extra ad revenue for the NRL from extra breaks before adding in potential simulcast, extra teams and FTA games and you do the math.

That little pip squeak Gavin Robertson just said "it's not rocket science to work out why AFL will attract more dollars. They have a longer game and more people throughout the country watch it on tv"

He said rugby league fans should just celebrate the fact they will get a better deal than last time around.

Where's a gun..

I really can't believe that this thread has degenerated again into having to explain to people what a profit is...
