so the AFL makes 15-25% more profit for TV stations?
And they have more FTA games Australia wide in better time slots FFS.
Grow a brain.

So you are agreeing AFL is far more profitable for tv stations in comparison to the NRL?
There were no "changes" mentioned above you idiot, it was detailing the natural stoppages in the game that occur now and the oppurtunity to place ads in them.
How do you explain Soccor (as you spell it) getting billions of pounds for uninterrupted broadcasts?

It's frustrating not being able to find out any details. I haven't been able to find out anything.
Did you ask Roy?
He always gets it right.:sarcasm:
Speaking of Paul Kent, he is about to be interviewed about his TV deal article on Talkin' Sport. He should be on around 4.15pm.

Kent reckons we'll get close to a billion
reckons current bid is $800-850 million
he doesn't know much really. just guessing

ummm, not quite....
NRL generated 80% of the ad revenue at 60% of the cost. NRL also drove far more subscriptions take up then AFL. So no, based on the previous deals AFL does not make more profit for TV Stations.
Now ad in up to 70 million in extra ad revenue for the NRL from extra breaks before adding in potential simulcast, extra teams and FTA games and you do the math.
