Stay there
Make money and party Asia with Dutchy
?????
Huuuuge 2015 euro trip.

Mis I'd wait till you can do Europe right. Just so much to see

It's an option. But Thailand is in Asia too and it has better food, better beaches, and hotter women. Hotter men dressed as women too.

That was my thinking. With what I project having in savings, I'd really only be able to do eastern Europe right now.

Change of plans for me. Was going to do 6-8 weeks in the US/Canada next August but that's on hold now. Me and my girl are going to shout her mum and her younger brother and sister a cruise.

Thailand is also one of the most majorly f**ked up places on earth. I'd stay where you are and save for Europe. 5 weeks and 13 grand wasn't enough for me to experience just England properly, let alone all of the cultural magnificence Europe has to offer.

I love Thailand. What's your issue with it?

Thailand is a tourist trap....but I think if it qualifies as "one of the most f**ked up places on Earth" you haven't traveled very far

You've just got to get away from the likes of Phuket and Bangkok to escape the worst of the tourist trap stigma. I adored most of my time in Thailand and Cambodia.

They're cheap, largely foreigner friendly places to live.

I found the only place I genuinely liked in Thailand was Chang Mai....not that Phuket is a bad spot by any means, but you can find the same sort of spot all over SE Asia with less drunk loudmouth tourists and a lot cheaper. Nothing wrong with Thailand at all, I just found it very touristy.

I loved Chiang Mai. That's likely where I'd base myself out of if I relocated there. Good people, great selection of local and foreign food, and a nice climate.

The only thing I'd miss is the beach. It's not exactly a short train ride down to Phuket or Koh Tao

Koh Tao is probably the best of the Koh's if you're up for focusing on your writing in a tropical location, and it's very close by ferry to both Koh Panyang and Koh Samui.
