I wouldn't think so, even league 2 teams would be 10 leagues above the A League

We're owned by ENIC, a public company, who own about 71% of Spurs

Joe Lewis and Dan the Man own ENIC. Daniel Levy is CEO of Spurs

Joe is a pom who lives in Barbados

I know Levy is CEO of Spurs, but I read that he is a high-ranking official in ENIC as well.

pretty scratchy game in Russia this morning, lost 1-0

all we had to do was win this and we had an unassailable lead in our group stage with 2 games in hand, now we need to win one of the last 2

none of our EPL players played, possibly with the exception of Defoe who maybe on the bench against Fulham, some of the kids on the bench this morning I've never heard of

PAOK at home and Shamrock away should equal 6 points. Then that's when we might care about this competition

yeh, they seem to be treating this like a second XI competition, good chance to give the younguns a run

good experience for them

It is a second XI competition at the mo. Untill you get to the last 8 (or even 4) it doesn't get interesting for the teams that have a bigger goal to aim for.

I don't really understand why though, its a European comp and would be great to win. I'm all for playing fringe players but why make so many changes? They get experience but you can't judge their talent as they played with other kids.

The winner of the comp should get a Champions league place. That would make more teams take it seriously.

The reports about Modric wanting to go to Chelsea had false quotes as well.
Unless a club announces a signing through an internal press release and not an external media source, don't worry about it.

In other news away from players.

'Frivolous and vindictive'

Some strong stuff there. Coming on the back of the News Int things going down.

If proven true it could be very bad news for Mr Levy.
If false it may be bad news for the people who accused them.

We will see though no one knows either way at the moment.

Leandro scored on the weekend. Oscar scored the second, someone we have also been linked to and looks very good. Whats the situation on those two?
Praying for a win tonight by more than 1 goal. Purely for the satisfaction of seeing us 3rd on the ladder.

I think every time Leandro scores his price goes up. Haven't heard anything.

Would love to see him at spurs, ideal partner for Ade.

A win by 2 or more puts us 3rd still with a game in hand

We sat back in the second half, but gee we made Aston Villa look like schoolboys at times. Woke up at 6:58am to watch the whole game :D
Bale with two assists and Adebayor with a deserved double, but I can't go past Scott Parker for man of the match, and our best player this season.
I am really happy with how Lennon is playing, since returning he has given us so much added threat out wide.
Our defence was good but rarely tested.
Bale is not at his best but he still makes every right back in the EPL look like amateurs, he is such a good crosser and now that Crouch is gone we are reaping the rewards for his ability.
Overall a near faultless performance, 65% possession and maybe I can say we should of scored one or two more goals, but it is a great win nonetheless.

I thought Modric and Bale were our best, Bale is back to some form and beating players with ease.

Parker gave the ball away alot more than he normally does. Walker is really coming along well also.

I reckon Lennon only uses his left foot to hold him himself up, he certainly cant kick with it.

VDV and Ade are certainly making a good combination, I've never seen Ade work so hard in a game like he did this morning, he was all over the ground.

Like to see Sandro get more game time, I think he'll be better than Parker.
