I wouldn't believe any of the transfer crap from the British press atm, its not January yet so they are just filling space in the newspapers.

latest on our injuries

Pienaar- back in training- will get playing time on Thursday.
Dawson- Progressing well, 2-3 weeks before he is back, probably nearer to 3 but is doing well.
Lennon- Will play on Thursday, nothing too serious after seeing Specialists, but could need an op if the problem persists.
Gallas- Due to return to training this week with the squad.
Kranjcar- Aggrivated thigh injury playing on International duty. few more weeks for him.
Ledley- Will have scans, can't tell until this has been done.
Sandro- Is ok, should be back for next weekend vs Blackburn.
Thudd - indefinite

Scans have shown Ledley's injury isn't too bad, its a grade 1 abductor strain and he could be back as early as two weeks

They do need to give teams in uefa cup more motivation. How about letting the winner play in the champions league the following year? Has this ever happened?

Or at least throw them in to the qualifying round for champions league. Would certainly spice up the competition.

I agree its a pretty big come down from CL, especially when we've never played anything better than a second or third string XI and we seem to breeze past the opposition.

It did happen last season with Porto but not by design, the Europa winner gets jack shit.

yer its poor, Rubin Kazan will be a good test in the morning 6am on SBS, 3 points should be enough too advance to the knock out round

We continue to find ways to throw away games, but thankfully we toughed it out.
VDV is just amazing. There aren't many better finishers in the EPL, that second goal was incredible.

If we had the chance....I couldn't say no. He is a world-class player and has the quality to take us to top four certainties, not just contenders.

never gonna happen, that was just a off the cuff comment by Harry, Tevez wants out of England

I didn't really think it would happen, I can't see why leaving Manchester for London would help him.
Agreed, that was my sentiment as well.
When the VDV chant went up I just had to join in :D He must be, value-wise, one of the best buys of the past few years in the EPL.

I just bought tevez for 30 million pounds for tottenham in my football manager 2012 :)

would be a great signing in real life too, bit of a tool but can sure score goals.
