Transfer Rumours

I personally don't find much sense in the Fabregas transfer, but I guess with Xavi getting on and with such a big schedule teams like Barca need a deep squad. Fabregas was dying to come home and when one of the best midfielders in the world is willing to help finance his own transfer I guess it's a situation Barca had to take advantage of. I'm only disappointed because Thiago is a gun and he'll be stuck behind 3 of the top 5 CM's in the world

Personally, I was hoping for a swap deal.

Fabregas for 25-30m + Thiago.

The latest according to the Italian press is that Thiago may be coming on loan to Roma for a year or two.

There is no way Barcelona will let him leave permanently, especially not after the drawn out Fabregas saga.

That wouldn't be a bad situation. He'll be world class in 2 years time

What's the permanent deal clause? They slapped €200m on Fabregas, €30m on Bojan so they're pretty hungry for their players to develop elsewhere.

Figures haven't been reported. It's just rumours for now, though an article yesterday says Luis Enrique has personally spoken to him to try and convinced him to come.

Personally I can't see them letting him go, even on loan for a year or two. Hope I'm wrong though as he would walk straight into our side and looks like a class player, would love him even on loan with no chance of a permanent signing.

Normally I would be against being a development ground for other clubs but there are only two weeks left in the transfer market, and we need at least two midfielders before the market closes, which could be tough given that we are also going to sign a central defender and another striker.

why is he a mercenary ?

he's not really a full time starter at RM and Harry has been after him for about 2 years but RM wouldn't sell

Anzhi Makhachkala have reached an agreement with Internazionale to sign the Cameroon striker Samuel Eto'o in a three-year deal that is expected to make him the world's best-paid player.

Reports in Italy say the Russian club will pay Inter €25m (£21.8m) for the 30-year-old forward and he is set to earn €20.5m (£17.9m) after tax per season.

€20.5m per year AFTER tax!!! What a life.
