Nothing good comes from changing the coaching staff mid season
It does when one of the coaches will be at another club next year.In private business no company let’s a employee stay while they are working towards the career for the following year

The Tigers lost Scott Prince when Sattler used his position to tap him up for the Titans.

We should be very wary of any gentleman's agreement.

Happens all the time though. Roosters kept O'Brien last year despite signing elsewhere

Take Burton. No way he re-signs here whether Barrett takes or not. He will be gone

I'm not. He has hardly be getting game time.

He’s a kid, the brains trust know exactly what they are doing around his long term development and they will be communicating with him around there long term plans for him as Ivan has made clear. It is clear thru the recent releases of Jed and others there is a need for some cap space to be found and once the housekeeping is sorted the player resignings will be announced and I expect Burton will be one of them. Our people in charge are not total dills and they are well aware resigning Matt Burton will be critical to our long term success.

Sounds like they want him to put weight on and become a ball playing forward like Wade Graham/Jake Trbojevic.

Personally as I have said before i see him taking Jeromes spot which is harsh on Jerome because he has been really solid. Burton on the other hand is potentially more than solid he may be a superstar.

I agree. Just reading between the lines with how Ivan has spoken about Burton. I could be way off.

I’ve always loved Jerome Luai as a player, followed him closely coming thru the juniors and he has been great for us in 2020. Sadly ounce Burton becomes a man everything Jerome offers Burton can do probably only better. Perhaps, the powers that be think Burton given his size could develop into a ball playing lock. Maybe, I don’t know. Either way it it is crucial going forward to get him resigned to a long term deal and then we will know where he is best suited.
