Trent Barrett - Attacking Coach.

I'd go for Jason Taylor or Todd Payten.

Some people make great assistant coaches, others head coaches. Jason Taylor was credited with the Roosters revival by Trent Robinson. Payten is held in high regard and if he doesn't land a gig, it would be a good swap.

Quality assistants make a huge difference to preparation, training and are undervalued in this competition.

And with only 16 head coaching positions available its the next best thing. It has worked for Trent Barrett.

Whoever we choose its someone with an eye for attack. Its why a name like John Cartwright doesn't excite me much. A guy like Paul Green would be fantastic however that isn't very likely (He has to be a big chance for the Broncos job and who knows if he is even keen on moving to NSW).

This is where I sit too.
No disrespect to Todd Payten, but I like the idea of a former hooker/half running our attacking plans over a former front rower.

Jason Taylor is a good shout, Matthew Head too. Pretty sure Dan Holdsworth is coaching these days too.

Hopefully enough of what Trent has taught the team this year has also rubbed off permanently (both on Ivan and Cameron and on the team).

Not keen on Astro Boy ( Jason Taylor). There has to be some really good attacking coaches who have not had the opportunity. We want someone with NEW ideas not the run of the mill crap. What about the Walker Brothers.

Walker Brothers are rich from outside football. I doubt they move to Sydney just to be assistants. Also though I think you want an ex head coach that knows how to break down good defences

A mate of mine suggested a couple of weeks back he heard Jason Taylor was being considered but apparently is not the case.

I take your point but perhaps the Walker Brothers might see this as a stepping stone to a head coach. Ben Ikin said on NRL 360 they told the Warriors they could improve their team and would be happy to take a 12 month contract

I’m still trying to work out who the young guy with a beard Is, he’s in the coaching box every week and it’s bugging me.
