Well either upgrade from within or see whose out there and available.

Suggestion today at golf Jason Taylor former head coach and assistant coach with the Roosters has been mentioned in despatches.

I haven’t personally read anything to that effect not sure he was still head coach at Nth Sydney Bears for this season but anyway a guy from our social golf group claimed we may be looking at him.

A old poster from here fibro panther would be a sensational attacking coach

Given he is now a resident of Taree not sure he would be available. No Uber in Taree so he is killing it as a taxi driver up there. I do know the turnover at the Paceway has dropped significantly since his departure although it is Xmas everyday for the Royal Hotel in Taree as I understand.

It would be a scary thought hoping in a taxi and seeing that bald head smiling back lol

He was supporting the Paceway as only he knows. Couple of weeks back, I wasn’t able to catch up with him on that occasion but revenues for the Paceway were up accross the board as you would know only too well when fibroman is in town.

Since ryan girdler is always critical why doesnt he show us what hes capable of in attack.

I’ve noticed that as well with some of his commentary that he’s quite critical of the Panthers. Rarely do you hear him say something positive though perhaps it may be his way of not showing any bias. Wasn’t he our threequarters coach when Elliot was coaching?

Was there an underlying issue that he had with the Panthers that we’re not aware of?

From memory the game very much seemed to have passed him by at the end of his tenure at the Tigers. The game has changed a lot and with this administration will probably change some more so someone who is quick to adapt is going to be key. Throw Smith a huge offer...
Tim Sheens had a poor year in 2001 at the Cowboys and it resulted in him getting sacked. In 2005 he proved he still had it.

As for Smith? There's more to coaching then knowing how to attack. What if someone isn't necessarily as smart as Smith is on the footy field. Is he good at explaining what he sees and how to exploit that to to say Mitch Kenny? A prominent thing assistant coaches do is giving players who are feeling down a cuddle, is Smith good at man managing players struggling like that? It's journeyman players that had to struggle throughout the careers that usually end up as the best coaches. Matty Johns has had more success as a halves coach than Andrew Johns for example.

I remember he said he doesn't want to be a head coach in some interview anyway. He wants to be something along the lines of a halves coach.
