The guy was a muslim. He was also slightly deranged. He brought Islam into it, but he was a lone operator acting out because he was going to gaol.

Islam is simply connected because the guy knew flying the flag he had would get impact. It did.

He's a Muslim, faced with jail in Australia, on sexual assault charges. He would have been f**ked. Add on top he is crazy, he wanted to go out furthering his agenda.

I reckon this is suicide first and foremost, but suicide that could get him the exposure he wanted. Sadly not uncommon in the world, just uncommon in Australia.

Just like the people draped in Australian flags at the Cronulla riots were "doing it under Australia"? I don't think so... that's not representing Australia.

So don't be fooled - this act wasn't representing Islam, just sadly representing this guy's mental health issue.

Hello firkers, it's real nice to see you guys again. I am now home from hospital, hopefully for a very long time. I am home minus some toes and various bits of feet. I also bring home lots of extremely unpleasant pain and nowhere near enough pain killers.

Hello firkers, it's real nice to see you guys again. I am now home from hospital, hopefully for a very long time. I am home minus some toes and various bits of feet. I also bring home lots of extremely unpleasant pain and nowhere near enough pain killers.

Still, my problems are small, compared to those involved in that unbelievable siege in Martin Place yesterday. Why, an individual like that was still allowed to walk the streets as a free person is completely beyond me. My thoughts and prayers are with
all of those involved. Many folks will never be the same again, some have lost loved ones. Repercussions should be swift and final.
