I use a CC. I've kept it in check. I never have a limit greater than the incoming paycheck. At worst, I can then paynot all off and enjoy two minute noodles for a fortnight.

I've only maxed mine out once, and paid it back within two work cheques. They're great, just need self-control to manage it. I only use mine when absolutely necessary. It saved my neck a few times when I was overseas.

I need one for travel expenses, as debit cards can be a chance prospect abroad and they're handy in an emergency. It's silly impulse purchases that killed me. Rarely use mine at all these days, and hoping my Africa time will see it mostly paid off.

Also only use a debit card.

Never had the income really to justify the potential pain of CC debt.

Same now.

I did have a credit card which I got when I purchased stuff at Harvey Norman on the 30 months interest free.

The interest rate on those f**kers is huge.

Didn't plan on using it but needed to for work when I would get caught and need to stay in a hotel. Always planned to pay it off when I got reimbursed from work but never did.

Once I payed it off I cut the f**ker up and cancelled it.

^This. Well, minus the Africa part. Mines currently paid off in full, but it's nice to have. They're both a blessing and a burden.

Lots of uproar from the hairy armpit brigade about how little the Women's World Cup winners take home compared to the men.

I tried to explain to a zealous (non football following friend) that international interest in the male tournament means more tv coverage and more sponsors, hence the discrepancy.

She says I'm a misogynist

Funny how all the women sooking don't actually watch sport. They just think it's like, really totally unfair and sexist, you know.

The women's football World Cup was awesome, but sadly, nobody cares.

And if nobody cares, where is this money supposed to appear from?

Well the men who generate thousands of times more cash are supposed to give some to the women because otherwise they are misogynist pig f**king scumlords.

I liked the joke about the England women's team arriving home being warmly welcomed...especially by their husbands who havent had their dinner cooked in weeks.

Exactly. How would that be equal? Isn't that basically how it has worked for all eternity now? Men make more money and they share it with women?

I liked the joke about the England women's team arriving home being warmly welcomed...especially by their husbands who havent had their dinner cooked in weeks.

I saw the FA got in trouble for saying that the heroes had come home and would now return to their lives as wives, mothers, and daughters.

"How dare you define women by their relationships to others??"

Meanwhile, none of them are professional players, so what else is it they're supposed to say?

"The heroes have returned and now go back to being a dentist, three teachers, four housewives, an adult dancer, a pair of cooks, and a lawyer?"
