Greenberg already said it’s great and he should pursue his dreams.
And that is why this organisation is a complete f**king joke. No balls.
He'll come back to the NRL in 2020 with his tail between his legs and get a million dollar contract with the cows.

The problem is there is f**k all talented players in the nrl because of the rules / interchange. The few talented players that are in the nrl have all the power because we need them for an exciting game. They will always be welcomed back.

There’s a thousand talented league players that don’t get a shot in the nrl because they aren’t 100kg Samoans. These players are lost to the game forever.

Who said he would get on a college program?? All those spots are already filled years in advance.

His best bet is to get himself on a training program like Jordan mailata and apply for the draft.
Train twice a day physically and another session on the routes etc.
Get his 40 time down. His bench up and all of the other testable points.
6 months of hard grind and then who knows what happens??

As its unlikely we can get a suitable replacement for 2019, I'd do a Knights for 2019 - front load someone's contract during 2019, freeing up extra cap space for 2020.

Really shitty move by Val, though I hold the player managers more culpable as they're the ones pulling the strings in the background.

I'm with Gal - if you wanna go play another sport after we have invested so much in helping you become an elite athlete, that's fine, but you're not welcome back. There's plenty of other elite kids who will step in and replace you. Very few leave RL and go on to have an even better career in another sport. If they know there's no way back to RL, it would make them think twice about the gamble or taking the short term cash.

Running Style? WTF does he do with that? Train with a truck tyre around his neck? Also Mailata is not a similar situation. At all.

I’m in offseason mode. Can’t be arsed reading all the pages on this.

Some will be happy he’s gone but those same people had a bit of a point about him being a cat.

He doesn’t have the phyicality for NFL, unlike Hayne.

No way he succeeds but I hope he proves me wrong.

If you think the last 2 years we were boring, wait ‘til next year! He’s the only 1 who created anything.

Wishful thinking I know but I just want the NRL to inflict tougher consequences and regulations on players who break contracts to leave the sport.. Even on clubs who cave in and allow it.
Do that shit when you're a free agent, not when the club has to move players on while missing out on others to accommodate you.
NRL needs to come down tougher on these contracted players especially after developing and investing big dollars on them.

*3+ year wait AFTER your current contract with other code ends.
*Salary cap hit for the clubs that cave in and grant releases for players that wish to use their developed talent in other sporting codes.
