are you related to Matt King?

he has nothing to do with poaching gun kids

here is something you posted a few posts up :

Melbourne did not makes these players good. they were already good before the grubs got their hands on them

they will never have one junior in first grade. time has shown how they operate

they are no different than Union throwing big bucks at the best league players. Melbourne just start doing it at an earlier age

since matty king makes those comments look really dumb, now you are changing tack.

now i know what dennis fitzgerald does in his spare time

more likely they couldn't afford throwing the same money around as has been shown in the past with two Melbourne signings

lol

throing big bucks at the best kids is not a skill

so melbourne operate on a different salary cap to the rest of the nrl?

i know exactly what i said. you seem to forget what it was in response to

it was in response to this and had NOTHING to do with Matt King

and billy slater, greg inglis and israel folou were all household names before the storm got them as well.
my whole argument has been about tem throwing the big bucks at the best kids. i have nfi why someone even brought Matt King's name up since he does not fit into this category :?

played for NZ at Parra. he was already an international when Melbourne signed him

he was an average player before going to the storm.

but when it comes to parra, things are a lot rosier than when you talk about the storm.

i wonder why?

in your opinion. NZ thought otherwise

but when it comes to parra, things are a lot rosier than when you talk about the storm.

Melbourne seem to be the only club not developing juniors and just using all their money to buy the best kids in the games

they contribute nothing and never will

we have players from the NT and WA playing in the NRL and they don't even have teams. that shows you exactly how worthless Melbourne are

Maybe the Sydney clubs should get off their backsides and start earning more income to match Melbournes paying ability? Now there's a thought......

Sydney and other clubs spend money on developing players from a young age in their area. Melbourne come along with the big bucks and poach the best after the work has been done

 Yeah, Melbourne is the only club which poaches young players.

It's alot easier for NSW and QLD clubs because others have done the hard work of establishing the sport to the point where RL is no.1. So the kids are there regardless.

Its a different case in Melbourne, which is due to the silly way the Storm were brought into the league. They should have thrown cash into the Vic junior system and established the game before admitting a Vic club.

But they didn't, and this is what we have. 10 years on the current crop of Victorian juniors would have been youngins when the Storm were established. And now (hopefully) they'll play first grade RL whether that be with Melbourne or other clubs.

The fact that you continue to claim they will never have a Victorian junior shows that you're:

A) Delusional
B) Bitter
C) Jealous (My pick, losing a prelim is hard to get over)

timana tahu, a great eels junior.

if the eels stopped losing millions on other sports and instead put it into RL, maybe theyd have won a competition in the last 21 yrs

imagine being a kid born in parramatta in the past 21 years. number of competitions youd have been your local team win - Zero!

Now imagine an 8 yr Victorian RL fan. hes seen his team win 2.

that explains the bitterness.

bad example buddy! we had lost 2 international centres and 1 future international centre in the 1 season to sign Tahu who wasn't regarded as a centre prior to him signing with the club.

our football club is effectively owned by our leagues club who themselves funded The Parramatta Power and are currently funding the Two Blues...it has nothing to do with the Parramatta rugby league club.

would you question News Limiteds vested interest in RU despite their funding of the Melbourne Storm???

it pays to know what you your talking about before you bag our club, keep focusing on El Diablo's arguement without scrutenising our club.

hardly an eels junior. its an example of the eels paying big bucks for a newcastle junior just like the storm are accused of.

how hypocritical

what vested interest does news Ltd have in RU?

with all the resources parramatta have at their disposal - strong LC, lots of juniors, plenty of fans. the past 2 decades have been an embarrassment.

for a Parramatta fan ie ED to bag a club that has been as succesfull as the storm have over the same period is very hypocritical.

the storm do nothing different to all other NRL clubs in where they get their juniors. theyve helped RL by managing to develop players that other clubs dont rate. indeed, how the storm managed to spot so many good queensland players from under the noses of the broncos beats me

Geez Sydney must be pretty big if it extends out to Bowraville (Inglis) and Waterford (Folau).
