Good question... feeding the roosters i suppose... either way they are playing at a level just below nrl standard, to suggest perth can do that right now would be laughableWhere’s the Bears talent?

How many of the Bears NSW cup team are from NS area, and how many are Roosters contracted? All Bears does for us is allow us to sign players to try out/develop at those levels without having to move West. A positive for sure but something we could just as easily get with a partnership with other 2nd tier clubs, without taking on the identity of the club.Good question... feeding the roosters i suppose... either way they are playing at a level just below nrl standard, to suggest perth can do that right now would be laughable
Thats because you're an idiot who doesnt have a clue about perth lolI can't see I single downside to the Perth Bears as long as all home games are in Perth (Apart from this whinging pommy merkin getting a side).
I don't think anyone thinks that... Penrith are so far ahead in terms of juniors its made the government have to spend on COE for the other teams.... which is a waste of time if you aren't hiring the right staff to manage those coes...contracted to the Roosters lol.
For years all Ive been hearing is that no one plays RL in NS anymore. Now suddenly they are some sort of Penrith powerhouse of jnr talent? Please.
Small country town with overpriced beer. I've been there mateThats because you're an idiot who doesnt have a clue about perth lol
Which isnt a problem if we have an in principal agreement with a QRL or NSW cup club or two in the bid. Bears arent the only side in the 2nd tier we could partner with lol.I don't think anyone thinks that... Back to perth tho... the arlc are going to want to see the talent there... they wont hand out a license to a dot on a map, you need to be able to give the competition something back, not just take
Thats what i keep saying... its amazing how stubborn PR is regarding the possibility of these bears leaving town... they haven't even been there yet... complex?I can't see I single downside to the Perth Bears as long as all home games are in Perth (Apart from this whinging pommy merkin getting a side).
TBF, it is based on what the Bears have said all along.Sorry for having an opinion and actually being positive about an WA Bears team. I believe it could and would work and not everybody is out to destroy others.
I’m glad I’m not related to you, geez imagine when your parents die, could/would your siblings trust you.
All good, but ARLC likes the bears brand too... just not their locationWhich isnt a problem if we have an in principal agreement with a QRL or NSW cup club or two in the bid. Bears arent the only side in the 2nd tier we could partner with lol.
I think what NRL will be more interested in (or at least they certainly should be!) is which bid can show how it will be investing in WA pathways so we get new talent from a new market into the game. WA gives that potential given we have talent playing and we are producing NRL players already.
Whose paying for it ?You’ll be giving WC kids an option to take up RL. Build it and they will come.
true and thats a big concern with Vlandys in charge of the decision, they'll choose whats best through a Sydney lens once again rather than what's actually best for the sport. All good, but ARLC likes the bears brand too... just not their location
Hang on you've been equally critical of the Bears non-negotiables lol.Thats what i keep saying... its amazing how stubborn PR is regarding the possibility of these bears leaving town... they haven't even been there yet... complex?
Its not about sydney... its about not creating handouts, if perth created its own club ran it its own way, pathways etc (akin to a club like redcliffe, easts, penrith) they would certainly be interested in giving out a license... but your not.. and just whinge about national presence, lack of funding, wheres my team... yadda yadda yaddatrue and thats a big concern with Vlandys in charge of the decision, they'll choose whats best through a Sydney lens once again rather than what's actually best for the sport.
Im not critical, just my personal opinion is that perth deserves minimum 10-12 games a season, nso isn't fit for NRL games, but SFS is litterally over the bridge.. im not pushing my view to the point where it should all blow up if they dont follow my lead or thought process..Hang on you've been equally critical of the Bears non-negotiables lol.
You know full well I'm not totally against a WA Bears club, but that it has to be under the right conditions, and at the moment the Bears conditions are not right or even close to it.
you do understand that they only can do because they have pokies dont you? That isnt an option here and sports clubs have to be funded other ways. To even have had an SG ball running for so long is a big deal for us given how underfunded RL is here. And yes it is the ARLC job, its in their constitution, to grow the game at all levels across Australia. Its not about sydney... its about not creating handouts, if perth created its own club ran it its own way, pathways etc (akin to a club like redcliffe, easts, penrith) they would certainly be interested in giving out a license... but your not.. and just whinge about national presence, lack of funding, yadda yadda yadda
Leave Manly on the peninsulaI agree the Blacktown partnership is a waste of time. Gosford/the CC is a small market compared to the North Shore. A combined North Shore and Northern Beaches team that’s done right would be far richer and stronger than trying to do a split Northern Beaches/Central Coast arrangement.
